Chelsea and Marty were awesome hosts! My boyfriend and I arrived on a chilly weekend, and she arrived in the morning with a carafe of hot coffee.
It's a true "little cabin in the woods" haven. The property is fantastic and fully equipped. There's plenty of firewood, blankets and anything you could ask for in the kitchen.
These hosts have their act together, and you will have a great time.
We had a really lovely weekend away here. It's a real cabin-in-the-woods experience, and we enjoyed burning firewood, hiking, and reading books. The cabin itself is wonderful. We would definitely stay here again.
A perfect little cabin in a perfect little location! My boyfriend and I stayed in Chelsea's cabin for a weekend that was nothing less than marvelous. It is close to town yet you feel like you're in a secret world all to yourself when you get there! The interior was cozy and inviting with all amenities provided: towels, tea, sheets, soap, pots and pans, firewood, etc. We had a bit of trouble with the wood stove, but Chelsea and her father attended to it immediately and everything worked out just fine! Listening to the babbling brook that is literally right outside your window is incredibly calming. The toilet is unique (an incolet in which you put in a liner and it burns) but easy to manage the running noise once you get used to it. Hikes to many waterfalls are just minutes away — though once we got to the cabin we didn't want to leave! The bed is large (a king!) and very comfy and soft. We loved the surround-sound stereo speakers with 6-CD disc changer that allowed us to play music either upstairs or down. We would definitely stay here again both for the cabin itself and Chelsea's kindness and attention to detail that makes it so lovely.
We were looking for a cozy quiet cabin under the trees, an easy drive from NYC. We got exactly what we were looking for. We especially appreciated being so close to hiking in the Delaware Water Gap. Chelsea and Marty were great hosts who were very easy to work with (remotely) and who went above and beyond to make our stay special and helped us out with a few items we accidentally left behind.
The cabin was PERFECT! Chelsea and Marty were very helpful and answered any and all questions when needed. The goal was to be alone for a few days and chillax, but I loved it so much after the first night I had my wife and dog come up. My wife was amazed at the location and peacefulness. The water running next to the cabin is so relaxing. We will most definitely be back!
Thank you :)
We had a lovely time at the cabin over Labor Day weekend. The brooke and surrounding forest were the perfect setting for a relaxing escape. The cabin itself has everything you never knew you always wanted, like hammocks galore, yard games and everything you need to start a roaring fire in the pit outside.
Chelsea was very attentive and kind. She gave us all of the backstory and insider info about Milford and what to do. We very much enjoyed ourselves and I would recommend this listing in a heart beat.
This cottage was welcoming and comfortable, offering peace and quiet and a number of ways to entertain ourselves and share some valuable time together. Our hosts were very responsive and thoughtful. We expected a nice getaway, and were pleasantly surprised to have this expectation exceeded. The sounds of the brook and crickets provided a great soundtrack for our time there and was a welcomed getaway from the cityscape we are used to. We cooked all of our meals at the cabin, but there seemed to be a number of good options in town, a short (walking) distance away.
Chelsea and Marty's place is the perfect weekend oasis! The cabin is cozy and homely, equipped for all weather and conveniently located just away from Milford but close enough to access the local attractions. We loved cooking in the kitchen and eating dinner to the sound of a babbling creek outside. Highly recommended.
My boyfriend and I stayed at Chelsea’s cabin last weekend and had an amazing time. The cabin is quaint and very tastefully decorated. Chelsea has provided everything you can think of and more to ensure a comfortable stay. It’s perfect for a weekend getaway. Milford is lovely and you won’t run out of things to do. Highly recommended!
Wow! This is just the perfect, coziest, cutest cabin on Earth! It's nestled right on a stream that lulls you to sleep each night and beneath tall trees that shade you from the hot summer sun.
My husband and I had a very relaxing stay...it really is the perfect weekend getaway. It's a great spot in itself, but also close to many hiking trails, swimming holes, and also to downtown Milford (which is actually quite charming). The porch was my favorite spot...I wish I could have brought it home with me!
Marty and Chelsea were very responsive hosts and worked to accommodate us on extremely short notice. I hope we can visit again soon! Thank you guys!
