Welcome to the Timberhawk, a newly built custom cabin perfect for a mountain getaway. Located in the Glacier Springs neighborhood it’s only a few miles from the National Forest boundary and 20 miles to the Mt Baker Ski area. Explore our neighborhood trails along Canyon Creek or take a short drive and choose from dozens of mesmerizing hikes in the National Forrest.
The space
This 820 s/f cabin has a large open floor plan with vaulted fir ceilings and exposed beams. The concrete flooring has radiant heating in every room and a wood stove for the extra cold nights. There is a large seating area as you enter the home with lots of room to store your gear.
The kitchen has beautiful specially made maple cabinets which really pop next to the concrete countertops. There is a JennAir gas stove that the cooks will love. Reclaimed wood makes up the raised bar dining area. And the hand-painted ceramic tile and DIY bar lights really make this kitchen somewhere you’ll want to spend time in.
Large floor to ceiling windows with custom made trim let lots of natural light into the living room. Two comfortable leather couches and a large recycling chair are perfect spots for relaxing. A 50 inch TV is mounted to the wall. There is no basic cable, but you can stream your favorite streaming subscription services. Or unplug and play from our collection of board games and puzzles.
The bedroom has a new quilted queen mattress with a down comforter that will put you right to sleep. Custom nightstands and lampshades add a warm touch. There is a closet to unpack and hang your clothes.
The bathroom has a large walk-in glass shower. The radiant heating is even in the
shower floor to keep your feet toasty! Custom vanity and shelving with more hand painted tile really make this bathroom beautiful.
Stacking washer and dryer are found in the laundry room for your convenience.
NOTES: The door at the top of the of the stairs will be locked and with no access permitted to guests. This is my personal space that I don’t share with others. The loft area is also off limits to guests. I take the ladder away when I’m not personally using the cabin myself.
Other things to note
Because of the cabin’s rural location, most people loose cell service before arriving. Please save the directions and code to enter the cabin before leaving on your trip.
Sometimes winter storms take the power out and there are no refunds should this happen. However the wood stove will keep the cabin warm and you’ll still be able to cook on the gas stove in the kitchen. There are LED lights and candles in a “power outage” kit I put together that’s located in the kitchen cupboard
