About This Listing
Characteristic apartment in pedestrian area few steps from Ponte Vecchio. Located in one of the streets of the old town in the district of Oltrarno. Short walk to all the most important places of Renaissance culture. Very quiet. free Internet WIFI.
These apartments, almost identical in size and layout, are located just steps from the Ponte Vecchio at the border of the Oltrarno district of Florence. Their location is ideal; though less than ten minutes from the Duomo and thus the heart of Florence’s city center, they are in a neighborhood that still retains its authenticity and is slightly removed from the tourist bustle. It is renowned for artisan shops, very cool piazzas, markets, and fantastic restaurants, and one of Florence’s most favorite wine bars is literally across the street. The Boboli Gardens and Pitti Palace are all less than five minutes away. They are also ideal for more than one family traveling together given that they are in the same building on consecutive floors.
The main entrance to the apartments is a lovely courtyard that is home to one of Florence's most famous ceramic shops. The large windows inside the apartments look out onto other typical courtyards and the red rooftops that are so representative of Florence. The apartments are extremely quiet and privacy is guaranteed because they do not face the busy street below. They consist of an ample entryway, a living and dining area with dining table and sofa bed, a double-room with queen-size bed, a recently renovated bathroom with shower, and a small kitchen. They are located on the second, and fourth floors of an historic building, and there is a small elevator (to reach the elevator you must go two sets of stairs).
They also have all modern amenities: internet connection, air conditioning in one room , heating, ceiling fans, hairdryer, iron, and washing machine. All kitchen supplies are provided, from flatware and glassware to microwave oven, American coffee machine, refrigerator, toaster oven, and electric tea kettle. Small animals are permitted on the premises pending approval of the landlord.
Location, layout, and amenities make these lovely apartments a true find.
The OLTRARNO area is one of the best and old area of Florence. Best restaurants, trattoria gelateria...

This was our first Airbnb experience . Patrizia was a wonderful host. Replied to all our queries prior to our arrival . Sent us a detailed map from the train station to her apartment . Arranged for her friend in a shop next door to hold our bags whilst we visited the Uffizi on the day of our departure . The apartment itself is located 50 meters from the Ponte Vecchio , so could not be better located for walking to all the sites . Lovely apartment . Highly recommended .
Patrizia is an amazing host. She is super responsive and goes above and beyond her landlord duties (e.g. printing museum tickets, making dinner reservations, and changing check-in times).
The apartment is above a ceramic shop and the shop owner Mery is also wonderful. She had our keys for us and has a spare room for us to leave our bags after check out. The area is nice, a couple blocks from Ponte Vecchio and in the other direction is Piazza Pitti.
This unit is on the second floor (which in Italy is 2 flights up). There is a 1-person elevator but there are 24 stairs to get there. You can pile your luggage in there and race it to your floor. Patrizia owns several units in this building. The street is quiet but the other renters can be loud. We stayed in the unit with the red couch, though in these photos it's the blue one. I bet the units are identical because everything else looks the same.
Tutto molto bello! posizione ottimale, bella accoglienza, pulito e tutto come descritto :)
Patrizia is a wonderful host! We really appreciated how she took the extra step at giving us advice on where to go around Florence, how to get around, what restaurants to go to; she even left us with some printouts on information of the city. Super helpful and kind! The apartment is ideally located in a lively area with shops all around, and the apartment is tucked in the back of a quaint little courtyard to provide privacy. The apartment is clean, spacious, with stable wifi, and was perfect for us :) I would absolutely recommend staying here!!
Patrizia was a lovely host, excellent communication and was very helpful in organising check-in and check out. She was there to meet us shortly after our arrival and was kind enough to show us around the apartment and provided us with us with helpful tips about Florence and a map which was much appreciated. The apartment was lovely and very well equipped and in a great central location! All the sights were within walking distance.
Patrizia's apartment was as described; in an excellent location and an easy walk to many attractions. Communication with Patrizia was smooth as well. Patrizia was most helpful in checking us in and out as well as providing some good recommendations. Would recommend/stay again.
Patrizia's apartment was more than prefect! She was easily available if we had questions and the place was super easy to walk to from the train station. If my pregnant wife could do it then you know it must be a piece of cake. The apartment was perfectly set up like a cozy bed and breakfast with Patrizia's extremely warm hospitality! It was set back in a quiet, very safe area but when you walk out to the front you are surrounded by tasty foods from cute cafes and gelato places (and just steps from the Ponte Vecchio). It was my wife's and my first experience in Florence and we can't wait to go back and stay with Patrizia to enjoy Florence again...maybe even with the baby!! :)

About the Host, Patrizia
I was born in Florence, and I love my city. I love the art of Renaissance , even though my job took me to the knowledge of modern art. I like traveling , although in recent times I am always here because I want to give to my guests who stay in my apartment all my support. I love pets!
