The Space

This cozy apartment is on the ground floor of a Victorian grey-stone home, in the Plateau of Montreal (Downtown). It features 2.5 bedrooms. There is a king size bed (may change into a Queen size bed) and single size bed in the family suite (double room). The single bed in the double room also extends into another single size bed. A sliding bookshelf divides the room and gives a bit more of privacy if needed. The 2nd bedroom features a double size bed and is used as a traditional guest room in our home.

Our home is modestly furnished with some vintage pieces, books, and piano making very cozy and "lived in". Though I'm sure you're not in town to watch TV, we have a tv that catches local channels and apple TV that you lets you access netflix for some down time.

Our kitchen invites you to stir up anything you'd like. The kitchen is equipped a dishwasher, fridge, bosch gas stove, bosch washer, and dryer. This is my home, so there is everything you need from spices to cooking utensils to make whatever you like.

The bathroom is equipped with soaps, shampoo, lotion, and hair dryer/hair tools for for use. Bathroom features a claw foot tub (with hand held shower head).

Take advantage of being at the base of Mount Royal, and enjoy morning/evening walks up the mountain to the lookout, cross, or beaver lake.

We have a private front yard/deck with lounging chairs facing our garden. During the prime season, overflowing peonies grace our garden.

We are a 2 minute walk to the bus 80 which takes you directly to the metro (Place Des Arts) and a 10-12 minute walk to the nearest metro (Mont Royal)

My family (myself, husband, two young child, and DOG) are down to earth, friendly, and opened minded.

You would feel like a local in our home!

Please note that I rent my home out when I'm out of town only. However, please feel free to let me know when you may want it. I can always use mini getaways.

ALSO, if you're a dog lover and would like to be hosted by our dog, we are willing to rent the place discounted. You will have to be wiling to (website hidden) with us to "meet" each other for approval.

Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • We had a good stay! The flat is very well located relative to Mount Royal Park and street life on Parc and St Laurent. It's spacious and funky and well equipped and homey. And the host was extremely helpful and good with advanced communication. The air conditioner in the living room was welcome in August!

The place is both a bit rougher around the edges and a bit cosier than the photos on airbnb convey (kudos to the photographer, though!) Think the coolest grad student apartment you ever saw rather than a House Beautiful feature. And the bathing amenities are a 3/4 bathtub with hand shower, which really did take me back to my student days!

Overall, we'd stay there again, and really appreciated all that this rental has to offer.

  • Judy, your house is very warm and welcoming. The location could not be better for us, close to the park and many great places to walk around. There were convenient items that we could use in the house, like some toiletries and kitchen spices. The kitchen in general was really well stocked. Check-out was flexible. We had a great time!
    Thank you!

  • We spent three nights at Judy's place and we really enjoyed staying there. The place is really comfortable, cozy and cool, with such a great warm atmosphere, which make you feel right at home. It has every thing you need for a short visit. And Judy herself is an amazing host, even though we haven't had the chance to meet here but with her quick / friendly response we felt so close to her.
And WOW the neighbourhood itself is one of the best in Montreal right in the heart of Mill-End filled with great cafes, restaurants, bakeries, bars and nice little shops, ( remember to check out the famous "Fairmount Bagel", they have the best bagel ever which you can get their bagel hot and fresh every hour of the day) and then all you need is to have a lone enjoyable walk around the neighbourhood!!
Judy I will be back again !!

  • Judy's apartment was an amazing place to stay! Right in the heart of the plateau. The space is well laid out plus there's a beautiful kitchen and a massive tub.

We were able to walk everywhere and downtown was a simple bus ride away. The neighborhood was super cute, friendly neighbors and quiet at night. We always felt very safe even walking around late at night. I could not recommend this place enough. Would definitely stay here again.

  • I recently spent a weekend in Montreal with 4 friends. Overall it was a great experience- Judy was an excellent host and quick to respond to any questions or concerns. The apartment is in a great location, just a short walk to the best parts of Mile-End and also to the park. We were very comfortable staying here. I would recommend this home to anyone planning a stay in Montreal.

  • Judy's home was the perfect place for our weekend away. We were comfortable and that kitchen is a chef's dream! Although it's close to so many great restaurants you don't need to cook. Thank you Judy for your warm hospitality. I wish we had a chance to meet, I can tell from her books and photos we share similar interests and taste. Maybe we'll see you the next time we visit Montreal...

Hi! I'm a down to earth mom of two little ones. I enjoy sewing, crafting, thrifting, and cooking. I don't consider myself a foodie, but I love trying out new places and sharing food. My current obsession is finding old things and making them new again. Montreal has been my home for the last 8 years and I absolutely love it here. I am blessed to have my own small business and the opportunity to raise both my little ones. I take advantage of life experiences and turn them into teaching opportunities. I hope to teach my children how to think, rather than what to think.
