Enjoy a stay in our beautiful, riverside home!

Located on the third floor, the Rock Creek Suite features light and spacious rooms, a balcony, and a window with a river view. The bedroom has a comfy queen bed, as well as a sitting area adorned with chairs overlooking the Clark Fork River. The kitchen is lit by two large skylights and leads into a large patio facing beautiful Mount Jumbo.

Note, this is an "attic" room, it's cute and cozy, but can feel a little short if you are tall.

The space
Just blocks from downtown and the University, with an unmatched riverfront location. Easy access to hiking and biking trails!

Goldsmith’s Inn is a historic, three-story, brick home that was built in 1911 as the University of Montana president’s house. The house has served many university purposes over the years; it was once a fraternity, a lab, and an office space, among other uses.

In 1988, the building was slated for demolition to expand university parking. Amidst community outcry over the planned destruction of the historic and beautiful home, the Inn was saved by the Goldsmiths. In order to preserve the home, the Goldsmiths undertook an audacious plan to move the 4000 square foot house from the southern edge of campus to the northern banks of the Clark Fork River. The home was then fully renovated to create six classic and comfortable rooms, each with private, hand-tiled bathrooms and other modern amenities.

For over twenty years, the Goldsmiths have been welcoming guests into the beautiful home to experience the wonder of Montana and a piece of Missoula history.

Please note, we have switched from a traditional Bed and Breakfast model to an updated AirBnB one. This means our guests can self-check-in and out, and we no longer serve breakfast. Instead, we have added kitchen and laundry facilities to each room, making them beautiful and cozy stand-along furnished apartments. These precautions help our guests minimize contact with each other, with us, and with and our staff. Thank you!

Where you’ll be

Missoula, Montana, United States

We are in the heart of Missoula right on the river! Drum Coffee and Black Coffee Roasters are super close as well as all of downtown.

Market on Front is just s a short walk down the river to grab a coffee or a breakfast burrito, and FINN is about a block away for drinks on their deck or a nice dinner.

Just across the river and the walking footbridge (all steps from the front door) is the University of Montana and hiking on the "M" trail, or Kim Williams trail.

Albertson's grocery store is also a block away, where you can find Starbucks, and there are a few fast food options nearby as well. We are convenient to the interstate as well.
