This cozy apartment features natural earthen clay walls and picture windows framing lovely canyon hills. It has a small kitchen and private bathroom with shower.. This comfortable spot stays warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Amenities include stainless steel sink, fridge, double burner hot plate, and high speed wireless internet.
The location is idyllic, in the mountains with access to hiking trails in stunning forested canyons. There are massage therapists on the premises if you would like to schedule a massage.
We have lots of other cottages available on the same magical property:
For example check out the amazing "Lovely Apartment" which has a large private deck with a stunning 360 degree view: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/117276

Only a minute to the village of Topanga, and 10 minutes to the Pacific Ocean with lots of Beaches and Restaurants. Amazingly it's less than a twenty minute drive to Santa Monica (10 fwy), Malibu or Calabasas (101 fwy).
We particularly recommend Inn of the Seventh Ray, Froggie's Fish Market, and the lovely waterfall @ Jalan Jalan imports, all only a few minutes drive.
The time I had at the Hacienda was a restful and beautiful experience. The view of the mist rolling through the mountain pass out of my window was awe inspiring. The apartment was very comfortable with a clean kitchen and bathroom, a comfortable bed and great internet.
David (email hidden) and the staff were friendly. They pointed out sea shell fossils along the creek bed and told me about some amazing hikes.
Wish I could have stayed longer.
Can't wait to come back!
Great (email hidden). Nice comfortable room and some really cool people to share conversation with. Highly Recommended!
I feel bad giving a bad review because there are plenty of warnings but I have to say I did not enjoy my experience. In fact I did not end up staying. I spent the afternoon into part of the evening on Friday and was suppose to stay through Saturday and left around 9PM because I was not comfortable. I tried to keep an open mind and was looking forward to getting away but the property was too run down for my taste and I didn't feel safe. I should have asked for a refund but at this point it's just a wash.
Stayed here over the weekend and it was soul satisfying. Met David and Yanni who are both very friendly and hospitable. The Hacidenda Hideaway was so cozy and hideaway is the perfect word, for people coming from LA. the perfect weekend getaway to be in nature, artistic vibes, peaceful, a trampoline, minutes away from the beach. perfectomundo.
What an awesome place. The nature is exquisite and
The staff is incredibly nice and helpful. David Is a great
And welcoming host not to mention an all around great guy
To talk with. I definitely strongly recommend!
Great property, but bed was super creaky and hard. If you sleep like a rock it's the perfect location, close to everything. Beautiful and local to good food and shops.
We had a clean and comfortable stay in this out-of-the-way rustic setting. We didn't meet David while we were there, but he did leave detailed instructions and suggestions for things to do. It's a dirt road leading up to the house with lots of potholes, and you might miss the sign if you're driving at night because it's very dark, but that does lead to it (email hidden) for stargazing. You can also hear plenty of crickets and frogs at night, and hummingbirds and songbirds during the day. The room stayed warm through the night (email hidden) heater, and the place was clean and tidy with dishes, hot plate, electric kettle, and fridge in the kitchenette. We agreed that it was kind of like an upgrade to RV camping - quite rustic, a few spiders in the ceiling corners, moths loving the porch light, etc. Our only complaint was that there were people walking above us throughout the night, and although they were quiet, the ceiling creaked with the movement. We're light sleepers, so if we had brought our loud fan for white noise, we'd probably been fine (we only brought a small one). Overall, it was a good deal for the price. We ate at The Canyon Bistro which has excellent food and definitely the place to be on a Friday night. We also drove down to PCH in the morning and saw some orcas swimming up the coast. If you want to get out of LA but not travel too far, check out this spot. Compared to the popular B&B in town, this AirBnB place is much more affordable and peaceful. Save your money and see the stars.
Amazing. I came to this location, and got so excited I unpacked in the enchanted cottage. It's (email hidden), and I will absolutely be back. I then realized I was in the wrong place and moved myself to the Hacienda Hideaway. It was so perfect! New bathroom, a cozy couch and a comfy bed. Right outside the door was a hot sauna!!! There is limited space to hang clothes, but I suspect that might be different soon. This whole place is pretty magical and really the only place that captures the feeling of the magical Topanga Canyon. I will be back for sure…. Thank you David...
Very highly recommended. Spacious, well-appointed, well-designed, charming, creative, comfortable, relaxing, and clean place. Tons of personality and character. Beautiful views in all directions. Kind and hospitable hosts. Lots of great sitting areas and other amenities on the property. Nice town with everything you need just up the road. Short, scenic drive through the canyon down to the beach. Fast internet connection. Extended my stay after seeing the place firsthand. Would definitely like to come back.
