The Larch House is a brand-new 'Grand Design' that has been carefully designed with every comfort in mind. High ceilings, European oak floors, pure wool carpets, comfortable beds, stylish German kitchen, sunny patio and luxury bathrooms all make this the perfect place to stay for a relaxing break by the sea.
Ideal for health and relaxation, the house is eco-friendly (air-source heat pump, solar PV) and low-VOC. Breathe easy with natural oak floors, doors and bedroom furniture and wool carpets.

The space
You can expect every luxury and a real sense of space. We are five-star super hosts with very high standards, so you can rest assured that we have thought carefully of every detail.
In one half of the house, there are three bedrooms and two bathrooms (one en-suite) plus a utility, all leading off a long corridor, which showcases the high ceilings. A generous reception/entrance hall links to the other half of the house, which contains a spacious kitchen/dining/lounge area with sliding doors to a shady and sunny patio garden. The lounge has a 55-inch Smart TV with Sky, perfect for cosy evenings in. There is also a Freesat TV in the twin bedroom.
The Larch House is walking distance to Lyme Regis gardens and beach. Shops, cafes and amenities are also close by on foot. Peaceful and spacious, it benefits from off-street parking for two/three cars, contemporary design and furnishings, hotel-standard bedding, underfloor heating, and bright modern bathrooms. Perfect for couples, families and business travellers. Walk to The Oyster & Fish House, high-street pubs and restaurants, with River Cottage HQ a 10-min drive, and the rest of the Jurassic Coast to explore.
The property is cleaned to a high standard, and the large fluffy white towels and Egyptian cotton bedding are professionally laundered for your comfort.

Lyme Regis regularly features in the national press as one of the best places to live and visit. Set on the spectacular Jurassic Coast, known as the Pearl of Lyme Bay, Lyme is a charming Georgian seaside resort notable for its wide sandy beach, beautiful gardens, pebble beaches ideal for fossilling and ancient Cobb harbour.

Lyme boasts chic shops, quirky cafes, delis, bakeries, butcher, artisan fudge and ice cream makers and pizzerias, plus a high proportion of farm-to-table celebrity chefs in the area (Mark Hix Oyster and Fish House, Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall and Gil Mellor of River Cottage, Mat Folas, Masterchef winner, Mitch Tonks, etc), plus numerous gastro pubs and outdoor cafes. Many of the restaurants offer gourmet food with great-value takeaway options, eg, The Millside.

Culturally vibrant, Lyme has its own theatre, museums and creative scene, with numerous festivals throughout the year in celebration of the local arts, culture, food, music and geology. In addition, there is a well-regarded golf course, popular sailing club and the renowned boat building school. The town is noted for the fossils found in the cliffs and beaches, and this beautiful coastline has been granted World Heritage Site status because of the incredible earth science interest.

It is also a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with unspoilt surrounding countryside, much of it owned by the National Trust, providing stunning walks from your front door. Renowned authors who have been inspired by their time here include Jane Austen, Beatrix Potter and famously John Fowles, whose book (and subsequent film) 'The French Lieutenant's Woman' was set in Lyme Regis. More recently, Broadchurch was filmed just a few miles east in Bridport/West Bay.

Lyme Regis boasts stunning scenery and a special mystique, making it the perfect resort for all seasons. With its historic harbour and iconic features, there is something for everyone. Due to its position in Lyme Bay, the town enjoys its own micro climate that delivers warm sheltered summers and mild winters. There are fantastic shops, galleries, restaurants and pubs to explore and enjoy, not to mention the breath-taking natural scenery of the Jurassic Coast.

Photographers and walkers will love the stunning natural beauty of the area, with year-round spectacular views, sunrise/sunsets and views of the moon over the sea. Autumn and winter provide the perfect time to avoid the summer crowds and enjoy long walks and gourmet food to eat in or take away. Ask us for recommendations or check out our guidebook.
