The Space

This sleek, NEW 1200 square foot penthouse unit offers breathtaking views of downtown New Orleans and the surrounding French Quarter neighborhood. Located on beautiful Esplanade Ave. just 1 mile from the Superdome and 3 blocks from Bourbon and Frenchmen Streets, it is nestled in the heart of endless entertainment, food, and New Orleans attractions. Enjoy the security of private garage parking and gated entry, while relaxing to a romantic sunset out of one of the large windows overlooking the City. This unit exhibits New Orleans style architecture & decor with its 10 foot ceilings, modern kitchen with SSA, charming breakfast nook, dining area, laundry room, and living room with woods floors and leather furniture. Enjoy complimentary Wifi, premium cable TV with DVR, and surround sound on the 3 mounted flat screen TVs. The spacious master suite features a king sized bed equip with a TempurPedic mattress, with it's own master bathroom. The second bedroom features a queen sized bed also with a TempurPedic mattress and it's own bathroom. The building itself offers a common balcony overlooking a large, central courtyard and garden area. Unit comfortably sleeps 6 (including sofas), additional queen sized blow up mattress available upon request to accommodate up to 8. Serious inquiries only please.

Getting around

There is a covered city bus stop conveniently located adjacent to the building on Esplanade Ave for those looking to venture outside of the downtown area. The nearest streetcar stop is a short 7 blocks away at the French Market, which is the ideal route for those looking to get Uptown or to City Park. Taxis are readily available throughout the city and can be flagged or called for pickups at the unit. With that said, for those without physical limitations, anywheres within the French Quarter or Marigny neighborhoods is only a short, pleasant walk away.

  • Doug's apartment was very nice (looked just like the photos) and was in a convenient location. We were able to walk to Jackson Square, Bourbon Street, etc. Doug was very flexible with my group's needs and communication was easy. I would rent from Doug again.

  • We stayed at Doug's during Jazz fest. Doug was a fantastic host! Communication with him throughout the entire process was excellent. Check-in and check-out was easy and care free. His apartment is in an ideal location. We either walked or took short cab rides everywhere we went. My groups main thing is cleanliness, and this apartment was super clean and very nice. It was very comfortable for our group. We were very happy with everything. I definitely recommend Doug and his apartment.

  • What a lovely space! Plenty of room, spotless, well appointed and gorgeously decorated… beautiful plants…TVs in every room...there was even a lit christmas tree!

    It was so much better than a hotel & I may never stay in one again.

  • Doug's apartment was the perfect "home base" for a dear friends bachelorette party this past weekend! We originally looked into getting 2 hotel rooms (as there were 6 total of us) and boy am I glad we didn't go that route! It was so nice all being together in one location and there was more than enough room for us to spread out. It was like one big slumber party...just perfect! Even though we took cabs pretty much everywhere, we did walk to Acme's Oyster & Harrah's one afternoon and it was about a 25-30 minute walk. It was nice since it was a beautiful afternoon, but I definitely would recommend wearing your walking shoes if you plan to walk anywhere in NOLA! The apartment was very clean and spacious and the building is very secure. Doug was out of town the weekend for the weekend but he made sure to be there for us to check-in and repeatedly said we could call him with ANY questions. He left very helpful suggestions at the apt for us and we felt very much at home. Without hesitation I would stay here again when I come to NOLA and all of the other ladies wholeheartedly agree as well! Thanks DOUG!

  • Doug was such an incredible host. He is a great communicator, very polite, and very quick with responding. Doug was always readily available and extremely helpful in answering any questions that we had. He even recommended some really nice restaurants and kept the refrigerator stocked with breakfast foods and drinks.

    The apartment was wonderful and the community is very quiet. It is a very lovely home and very clean and excellent condition. The house was even nicer than it appeared on the website.
    It is conveniently located to the heart of the French Quarter and Bourbon Street, we literally walked everywhere.

    I had a fantastic time! I would recommend staying here to anyone seeking a quiet beauty or any number of adventures. Thanks for the wonderful memories Doug.

  • Doug was such a wonderful host! He was very flexible and always available when we had questions. His apartment was perfect as well. It was in a very safe location and the gated parking lot saved us from having to worry about street parking (parallel parking is not our forte!). There are plenty of great places to eat and drink in the neighborhood and it is certainly within walking distance of many of the city's attractions. Doug's apartment was well stocked with everything we needed, including plenty of towels, blankets, pillows, etc. - even snacks! - for all five girls in our party. It was so nice to stay somewhere with all of the amenities of home that you can't find in a hotel. I would highly recommend staying here on your next trip to New Orleans!
