Brooklyn Brownstone in Park Slope

Apartment - Entire home/apt · Sackett St, Brooklyn, NY 11217, United States

The Space

This apartment is in an ideal neighborhood to stay in if you are visiting New York, especially for a family. Our second floor brownstone apartment is a short distance from the Atlantic Terminal (Trains: B, D, Q, N, R, 2, 3, 4 and 5 and the Long Island Rail Road) and an even quicker walk to the R train, which makes it a short trip to Manhattan. It is also four blocks away from Prospect Park, where there are many concerts and activities happening throughout the summer. There is a wide range of great restaurants in the neighborhood that cater to nearly any style of dining, as well as an array of music venues, bars and child-friendly stores.

The apartment is technically a three bedroom but the third room is the baby room, making it ideal for those traveling with an infant or a toddler (the crib converts into a child's bed). The master bedroom has a large and comfortable queen bed. The guest room has a very nice full sized bed. The living room is open and large with great light and a big sofa that comfortably sleeps a tall adult. The kitchen has all amenities and a big island that seats four comfortably. The apartment will come with bed linens, extra blankets, fresh towels etc. We also include folders with info about local venues, takeout, maps etc. Internet is wireless and free. A/C located at each end of the house and powerful enough to cool whole apartment.

Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • The place is awesome. For NY, it is HUGE. 3 large rooms PLUS a nice size living room and open kitchen plan. I have a 2 year old and having a kitchen was great. The place is literally 1 building from 5th Ave. in Brooklyn/Park Slope and only a 10 minute walk to Prospect Park. We visited the Prospect Park Saturday market and it was great. There are restaurants, bagel shops and markets all over the place. The neighborhood is very kid friendly with a playground every 2 blocks. The subway to Manhattan was a 5 minute walk from our place. If you want to experience Brooklyn/New York as a local, this is the way to go. After 1 day, you will feel at home. The place was clean and organized and Daniel got back to us right away when we had questions. Great experience!

  • We had a great long weekend at Dan's place in Park Slope. The apartment is roomy, clean and smartly decorated. The layout and amenities make it perfect for families (with one or two small kids).

You can't possibly beat the location of this place, either. It's right in the middle of the best part of 5th Avenue, and within easy striking distance of the multiple train lines and Prospect Park.

Dan and his family make the check in and check out process easy and flexible. Thanks for a great weekend!

  • Great place in a wonderful location! Next to stores of every type, half a block to metro, the apartment is charming and comfortable. Our 3 yo daughter also took advantage of all the toys and children's books around. Thanks Daniel and Family!

  • Daniel’s apartment was wonderful! Very comfortable, well equipped and a great location! It was the perfect place for our family to gather for Christmas just after our first granddaughter was born in Brooklyn. We really appreciated Daniel’s thoughtful list of restaurants and take-outs and other helpful hints. Checking in and out was easier than a hotel. Thank you Daniel!

I'm originally from Montana, but have been in New York for 5 years. I've often traveled with only a backpack, but I recently had a son, so my lifestyle (both for travel and hosting) is pretty family friendly. As a guest, I'm looking for a home-base that my family and I can go back back to and relax in the evening. Other than that, we are out early and exploring. As a host, we won't be there, but we'll leave you with a clean apartment, and a list of local restaurants, bars, venues, kid-friendly businesses, museums, etc.
