My house, located in the Bywater, is a beautiful historic shotgun house with a double parlor, one bedroom, a kitchen and a bathroom. It has a nice secluded yard in the back for having breakfast or just relaxing. The kitchen has all the usual appliances, stove, refrigerator, microwave, etc. and a small dining table. The Bywater has lots of neighborhood charm with many restaurants and bars. Vaughn's, Bacchanal, and Satsuma are walking distance away. I am a block away from two contemporary art galleries, The Front and Good Children Gallery. As a jewelry designer/artist, I live surrounded with art and use one of the rooms as my studio. I have the work of several local artists on display. Curio Space is a quiet and charming place with a strong focus on creativity.

Natalie was a gracious, informative & cool host. Communication was easy & open. She stopped by on our first night to be sure that we were settled in and to give me the absolute best directions to a parade. I felt very at home and the pictures online are most certainly accurate = the home is just as beautiful, clean and spacious as it looks. The extras in the fridge were truly appreciated! The location is so very convenient to everywhere you want to go. The Bywater neighborhood is eclectic and a safe walk though the neighborhood delivers authentic New Orleans charm. The neighbors are very quiet, considerate and great people to talk to. This listing is a true gem that I am thankful was available for my visit. This is the place you are looking for when you want to travel to New Orleans. I miss it already!
We are usual users or Airbnb and we have travelled all around the world staying in great apartments that have been our homes for a few days.
And we can say without any doubt that Natalie's house is one of the best we've ever met.
It's even more beautiful than in the pics, with great art pieces and an impressive old Wurlitzer, 30 minutes walking from the french quarter in a pretty pretty cool walk and, yes, Natalie is really kind and helpful.
Said this, we would love to return to this creative home one day.
Thanks for all, Natalie! Good luck! ;)
When I daydream about homes in New Orleans, Natalie's home is exactly what I would imagine. My boyfriend and I felt immediately at home when we arrived. Natalie welcomed us and had a lot of recommendations for neighborhood eats and sight seeing around the city. She was very accommodating to our schedule and really respectful of our time in her space. We have never stayed in an Air bnb before, but after how great of an experience this was, I'm sure we will again. Natalie's home was great to relax in and it was nice to be able to wake up and drink coffee and sit out in her backyard. The home is in the Bywater neighborhood which turned out to be a perfect place to stay. There were lots of great restaurants and bars near by and we were able to walk to the French Quarter easily. I highly recommend staying here. :)
The house is absolutely beautiful, very unique. Super comfortable. Natalie gives you tips about the city, favorite restaurants, things to do, etc. She's very nice and welcoming. She even leaves some things in the fridge for the guests. We couldn't have picked a better location.
Natalie welcomed us into her home and showed us around, even giving us a tutorial on the heaters (because they were unfortunately necessary a couple nights!). She left maps and brochures, and gave us great restaurants recommendations. We loved the house and took notes on the decorations because I would love for my house to resemble hers! Natalie left us some supplies in the fridge, as well as some little bathroom supplies. I was a bit hesitant about the neighborhood, but my favorite parts of our trips were the walks and runs we took around Bywater. We rented a car and there was always plenty of parking right outside the door. The bed was super comfortable, and the house was perfect for what we wanted. I would most certainly stay here again! Thanks, Natalie!
Natalie was a great host! The house was perfect for a getaway. It is a very beautiful home. I would recommend staying here. The location is great.
I work as a studio jeweler in my home in New Orleans. I love collecting and trading my work for art. I try to surround myself with things that are handmade, creative and beautiful.
