"THIS HOUSE IS OPEN TO THE SUN,TO FRIENDS AND TO THE WIND"- Platone -
LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. We are in a prime position in central Rome. In the most colorful and young quarter where during the day you can enjoy the popular rome with flea markets, little restaurants of all tipes and unforgettable views, and in the evening you can hear live music, drink with a lot of new friends or simply walk under the moon between street artists, music and history.
Read the Airbnb Guide about San Lorenzo https://www.airbnb.it/locations/rome/san-lorenzo
they even chosed us to rapresent the quarter :DDD
AND READ ALL OUR BEAUTIFUL REVIEWS ,WE ARE SURE YOU'LL HAVE A GRET TIME WITH US ;)
Very Close to Colosseum (only 20 min walking), to Termini (10 min walking) and to all the most important things in Rome :), and if you don't want to walk (even if it's really a shame because every corner in rome is magic) you can reach the metro line A and B both very close and you will find several bus stops nearby.
It's a small double but very cozy, comfortable and colorful, like all the rest of the apartment.
Fully furnished including tonnes of storage space. We provide you with a towel and there is a double duvet and pillows all with cotton covers and sheets...
Close by to "La Sapienza," the largest university in Europe, San Lorenzo attracted a student population, and the quarter quickly became the home of free-thinkers, young political activists, and artists of all sorts. Young families fled, and the elderly were left with the younger generation to create the mixed population which today forms the heart of San Lorenzo's unique character. Packed with students, it is newly young-and-trendy, described as the Montmartre of Rome. Arty shops cheap and authentic trattorie, cool pubs and clubs line the narrow streets. If you can overlook the littered streets, cars parked on the sidewalks, and graffiti everywhere, San Lorenzo offers a world of surprises.
Shopping in San Lorenzo is a new experience. You won't find any of the mainstream labels that populate shopping venues such as Via del Corso or Cola di Rienzo. Everything has an arty flavor: small ateliers where items are crafted on the spot; original and creative pieces; and best of all, artists excited about their work and willing to spend time explaining how their creations come to life. Just walk around and explore.
The price includes, internet, use of the kitchen with a cupboard and fridge storage reserved for guests as well as the oven/grill, and any kitchen utensils and a shared bathroom.
We are very much into the theatre, concerts, museums, eating out, slow food and biological culture, so if you need any information or advice we would be more than happy to help.

Lea 's flat is very nice, cozy and clean. Very close to the Stazioni Termini(main train station), in a calm neighborhood.
Lea is very friendly and a great host, she gave me a very useful guide about Rome with important tips.
Very pleasant stay, highly recommended!!
Selene and Lea were really kind and helpful with us. The flat was very colorful and is very near to a tram that take you to the colloseum.
There are also very good italian restaurants near the flat.
I booked last minute with Selene and Lea being inspired by the reviews on San Lorenzo. I wanted to see a contrast to the tourist Rome I'd seen so far.
It was fantastic to be welcomed so warmly into a Roman home!
I had everything I could need or want during the stay. One night I managed a much needed 10hour sleep!
Selene and Lea's place would be ideal for travellers on a budget looking to have a different Roman experience that a hostel or hotel just can't dream to offer.
We do love the decoration and the hospitality of the hosts, but the room is a little bit small for 2 ppl with so many luggages. If you are backpacker, this room might be a good choice.
The apartment is cosy and clean in a great neighbourhood, getting around was easy for us. Selene and Lea are both really friendly and gave us great tips on where to go! We didn't have a lot of time to talk but still felt very welcomed. Both the girls were super accommodating even though we definitely weren't the best guests. Lea was even nice enough to offer the computer to my friend who had to do some work. Thanks again!
First, in my entire four months living in Europe, this three day stay was the most comfortable stay I had thanks to the wonderful hosts Selene and Lea. Also, this was my first time using airbnb so I wasn't sure what kind of experience to expect. Thankfully, they were all positive!
Selene made me tea when I got there (twice!) because I was feeling a little sick (I didn't ask for the tea, she offered!) I definitely learned a lot about how to treat guests well by staying here. It have been to Italy twice before whereas my girlfriend had her first visit. I only knew a little bit of Italian whereas my girlfriend knew none. Our difference in experience living in an Italian culture, both fairly unfamiliar, was not a problem at all staying with Selene and Lea!
The area (San Lorenzo) is fantastic, especially if you're young or a college student. It's very close to everything, so we walked for most of the trip. The whole neighborhood area (all the apartments) felt fairly safe even at night.
Selene's english was perfect and she is a very interesting person! Their apartment is nice and cozy and very interesting with art on the walls and a giant Italian crossword puzzle. She gave me a lot great places to eat around the San Lorenzo area as well as tips on Rome in general, all very useful even though I had been there twice before.
She provided towels, gave us very relaxed house rules, and lent us the space heater because it was cold during our stay. She made us feel like a local by taking us on a food tour (which we were looking to do) and by taking us out to a local bar. She was incredibly accommodating and we felt very comfortable in the apartment.
If you're interested in making a lifelong friend, then I recommend that you stay with Selene and Lea!
Really pleasant place to stay, in a very calm but rather central area (30' walk or 15' tram to the old historical centre). Selene & Lea are extremely welcoming hosts, making you feel at home from the very first minutes of your stay! Thanks again Selene for the hundred of tips you gave us about your city, and good luck for your 'discovering Rome with your stomach' trip!! ;D

PS: when you come to their appartement, test the guitar, it has a really really good and gorgeous old great brazilian wooden sound!
We don't even know where to begin. THIS IS THE PERFECT PLACE TO STAY IN ROME. Selene & Lea take hospitality to the next level. We took a bus into the Termini station from the airport and walked directly to their place. It's a short walk - 5/10 minutes and located in a very safe & lively neighborhood. We do not speak ANY italian and we had absolutely no troubles in this area. Everyone was so kind to helpful, we ran into someone who walked us directly to their front door :) Upon arrival, Selene had everything ready for us. She sat down and wrote up lists of things to see, where to eat and how to get around - all very cheap. Selene & Lea's home is incredibly cozy. They made us feel right at home and even bought us a bottle of Prosecco as a gift! They showed us how to make espresso and we had a cup every morning. They were so kind to let us use their kitchen freely. They really made us feel as though this was just as much our home as it was theirs. Selene and Lea even gave us tips on things to do if we didn't want to stand out as tourists. That was very helpful. They also pointed us to our favorite restaurant of the whole trip - PORCA VACCA. Highly recommend for cheap, delicious meals. I think we will remain friends with Selene and Lea and we hope to be back in the future! LOVE THEM and truly consider them friends after this 7 day visit to Rome.
If you're coming to Rome - Stay here for a cozy warm home & friends for life!
We had a nice stay thanks to Selene's friendly welcome. She gave us a map and many tips. The room is quite small and connected to the other room by a window, which is important to know incase you're a light sleeper. Thank you Selene! We had great time in Rome!
Our stay with Selene and Lea was really great! We got to celebrate Selene's 25th birthday on the roof with all her friends, such a great experience. Both girls were really welcoming, and the room was great. We can only recommend everybody to stay with Selene and Lea, you will get two good friends.
