  • Dear Elisabetta,

We had a fantastic time in Rome and staying in the apartment! It was such a great and very much appreciated surprise to find all of the welcoming treats awaiting us in the kitchen! We loved the apartment and the area, it was perfect for us! You were a great hostess and it was so nice that you checked in on us and were available to answer our dining questions! We appreciated all of the guide information you left for us to go over so we could plan our days easily!

I hope to send you a request in the future to stay in the apartment again!

    We wish you much success!

  • Elisabetta is a very nice host. The apartment's location is perfect: close to the Vatican and there is a Todi supermarket nearby as well as lots of Restaurants. It is also very clean and the wireless internet worked perfectly. We also loved the food Elisabetta bought for us.

If you only care about location and won't be spending much time in the apartment itself, then this apartment is perfect for you. But it was not so for us. The building is a little old and walls are thin. I could follow conversations happening in the apartment next door! I could also hear their TV. The noise did stop after 23:00, so I could still sleep. But if there was a party goer next door, I don't think I would have gotten much sleep.

The shower was also very small and had problems with hot water. While taking a shower, the water goes cold and then hot in cycles. This might be an issue with all units in the building.

Overall, I think Elisabetta is a very nice host but I cannot recommend Casa Caracciolo if you like quiet rooms and hot showers.

  • We are a family with three young kids who stayed at Casa Caracciolo for a week.

    - The location is perfect! The market next door is absolutly brilliant to immerse yourself in Italian culture. The lasagna we bought there was the best we've ever tasted and beat all the restaurants we tried. Ideally situated for visits to St.Peters and the Vatican and a ~30 min bus ride to the Colosseum and central Rome.
    - Beds were clean and comfy.
    - Elisabetta is a perfect AirBnB host. She was attentive, gave us tips on arrival and responded immediately to our requests.
    - There were toys for our kids to play with which was exceptional!
    - The welcome basket of food on arrival was thoughtful and introduced us to Italian delicacies.

All in all, a great place in Rome that we would go back to in a heartbeat. Highly recommended.

  • Just returned from staying at Elisabetta's Casa Caracciolo our home in Rome for 6 nights. Firstly Elisabetta is a great host and nothing is too much trouble for her. The apartment was even nicer than the pictures, comfortable, very clean and tastefully decorated, we loved it. The welcome food in the fridge and basket of cakes, bread and pastries was very much appreciated and very thoughtful of Elisabetta but just another example of the care she puts into making her guests stay as comfortable as possible. We received a warm welcome from Elisabetta on arrival and she provided maps of the area, transportation options which we appreciated. This was in addition to all the information that Elisabetta provided before we travelled and she also arranged our transfers from the airport and our return - like I said nothing was too much trouble for her and she clearly puts a lot of time and effort into making her guests comfortable during their stay and this she did - it was our home in Rome. The location could not be faulted, safe neighbourhood close to the Vatican museum, supermarket opposite, market daily at the end of the block which had everything you could think of fresh fruits and veg, meats and of course wine! There was a pizzeria a door or two away and a great range of other restaurants, and transportation a few blocks away - we used 492 as recommended by Elisabetta and rode the open top bus for three days to get around Rome, hop on and hop off. We went to the Vatican museum and Sistene chapel in the afternoon when the queues had died down, booked the Coliseum on-line (only €2 for children & EU nationals over age 65) and only €1.50 for an ice cream at Old Bridge Gelateria opposite the Vatican City wall but be prepared to queue as very popular but very nice! You will not be disappointed staying at Elisabetta's apartment - we threw our three coins in the Trevi fountain so will be back and would have no hesitation recommending to family and friends. We (my Mother, Father, Sister & Niece) had a wonderful time and it was great to return after a day of sight seeing to the comfort of Casa Caracciolo. Thank you Elisabetta we look forward to returning to our home in Rome.

  • This is a lovely, bright, clean apartment in a good neighbourhood, convenient to the Mercado market's wonderful fresh food, 3 blocks from the Vatican, and a few blocks from the metro and buses. Elisabetta is a welcoming and attentive host who helped make our stay in Rome wonderful. She stocks the fridge with basic groceries for breakfast and snacks, gives a good map tour, makes sure you're on wifi, organizes taxi service, and quickly answers texts or emails if you have questions. There is no living room but the 2 bedrooms are roomy, one has a couch too, and both have a TV. We'll be back!

  • We had four nights in Rome recently and Elisabetta's apartment was perfect for our stay. Large, airy and very comfortable and in a great position to visit the sites of Rome. Amazingly close to Vatican City. Elisabetta's met us at the apartment and couldn't have been more helpful. She organised and booked our taxi for our transfer to the station which was very helpful. Elisabetta also left us plenty of provisions for our stay which was fantastic. A wonderful stay.

  • Visited Rome for a few days last week and the apartment was perfect! It is situated within walking distance of the Vatican museums and the centre (from there I would recommend the hop on hop off open top bus to see all the sites).
Elisabetta is a lovley host and made us feel very welcome. She left us a basket of food and milk etc in the fridge for our arrival which was lovely and she is always at the end of a phone if you need any help. The apartment was immaculate and the beds comfortable - we also had air conditioning which was a bonus in the heat.Would definitely like to return to Rome one day and would recommend the apartment for anyone wanting to visit.

  • Wonderful location! Right across the Vatican museum and 5 min bus ride to Rome centre. We could easily cover most of the attractions in just about 2 days. There are many good restaurants and gelato places around.

Elisabetta is one of the most hospitable hosts I have come across. Before our arrival at Rome, she sent us a detailed email about how to reach her apartment and things to do during our stay at Rome. We were welcomed on time with a complimentary breakfast basket, a much needed surprise after the 15 hour long journey from San Diego. All communication was smooth throughout our stay and she was easily available all the time. I highly recommend Elisabetta and her wonderful apartment.

  • Elisabetta's apartment was beyond our expectations. Elisabetta met us at the apartment, explained all the best places to visit around Rome. The breakfast basket & food in the fridge was most welcomed. Her willingness to assist us in anyway was greatly appreciated. The location of the apartment was close to all public transport, the Vatican and good gelato shops. Would highly recommend Elisabetta's apartment to stay in Rome.
