To enjoy Amsterdam as an Amsterdammer it is always nicer to stay in someone's house. You can enjoy mine which has been recently new decorated.
New industrial kitchen, bathroom and living space. The bathroom and bedroom are in the back. Bathroom is very modern and bedroom is small but very cosy, very Amsterdam like! And since December 2012 I got wireless internet!!
I also started on the garden and the patio is finished so you can sit outside in the sun with a glass of wine when you have returned from sightseeing.
My house is situated in the popular area called De Pijp. You can find really good restaurants for descent prices, coffeebars, delicatesse shops for a good take away, a Spagetteria on the corner and a supermarket and a cool local cinema if you decided to catch a movie. I'm very close by the river Amstel, de Albert Cuyp market and 15 minutes walk away from Rembrandplein, Flowermarket, the hart of Amsterdam. There is easy access to public transport which is handy. I'm also 10 minutes tram ride away from the Rai Convention Center for those who are on business and going to conventions, my house is very close.
My place is perfect for a couple or two friends. It's cosy and enough space to enjoy and relax. You are close to everything and you will have the proper feeling of being an Amsterdammer!
So if you want to spend your holiday as a local you came to right place!

The efficiency and comfort of Natalie's flat are matched by her quirky decorating flare and her warmth. Exactly as described and pictured. Well equipped kitchen which we used a lot, including for the preparation of our daughtrer's 23rd birthday supper and cake. Bed unbelievably comfortable, like being in a first class train's sleeping compartment, only better. The location honestly is ideal - quiet, working class block close to the tram, groceries, wine store (friendly staff who got to expect our daily visits), but also easily in walking distance to the river, the teeming Albert Cuyp Market, parks, museums, and dozens upon dozens of cafes, galleries and shops. We feel we were lucky to meet Natalie and to live in her home and neighborhood for a week.
Natalie's home was great. The location was perfect, close to restaurants, cafes and shopping, and right by the metro. The apartment was nice to come back to after a long day of walking, shopping and sightseeing. Felt very relaxed and comfortable. Natalie was a good host telling us about what events were going on in Amsterdam during our visit and even had a list of places she recommends to eat, shop etc. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you Natalie!
We had a lovely stay in Natalie's flat! It's small, quirky and cute, and located on a peaceful side-street in De Pijp. Sarphatipark and lots of cafés and restaurants are close by, and we found the location convenient for the centre of town. We didn't meet Natalie (a neighbour gave us the key), but communication was clear and efficient. We recommend this flat!
Absolutely recommend!! Great place, ideally located just a few minutes away from 4 tram route. No problem being met at property and everything was as described. Definitely will be coming back here in the future:)
The position of the apartment was excellent, close to the tram, the Amstel Canal, Shops, Restaurants and the wonderful Albert Cuypstraat Market. Natalie's cleaner let us in.
Very cute apartment! Clean & tastefully decorated. Not quite as bright as pics, not an issue though, just an observation :) Fabulous little back garden which catches the sun nicely. Quiet street with canal at one end, & short walk to tram at other. Highly recommend Spageterria restaurant on corner for dinner & delicious wine! Super market, market, etc. all very close. Easy accommodating check-in & out. Thanks Natalie!
After trotting around europe and some fab holidays I ended up in Amsterdam where I have been now for the last 12 years. Last year I opened my dream, my own shop/ gallery. Mini Shopping Center Of Cool which you must come and visit when you planning a visit to Amsterdam and stay in my house :)!
I speak English, German and French, makes things easier when making reservations!
