Where you’ll be

Klamath Falls, Oregon, United States

The downtown is experiencing an ambitious rebirth. Many old buildings are being renovated, new buildings are being constructed, and the feel-good vibe is contagious. A dozen amazing restaurants, a world class craft brewery, coffee shops, boutiques, public parks, trails, the waterfront, theatre, and museums offer a top notch experience to locals and tourists alike. The farmers market every Saturday showcases our community mindfulness and candor.

I am an incorrigible nomad and adventurer. I had access to James Michener’s anthology as a child and that was that. I’ve currently been to 57 different countries and the goal is to see all 255 sovereign states before I expire. Born and raised in Oakland, California and the East Bay I served as a nuclear submarine sailor for six years in the world’s finest navy. I spent the next 20 years commissioning and operating power plants in 17 states and eight foreign countries. I have recently settled in Klamath Falls to attend the Oregon Institute of Technology and I work at the combined cycle cogen power plant just outside of town. I know what it is to travel on a budget. I believe in karma and the goodness of people. I am the eternal optimist.

During your stay
I work rotating 12 hour shifts at the local power plant full time and attend classes at OIT full time so my spare time isn’t overwhelming but I am always available by text and will welcome you in person if at all possible.
