Interaction with Guests
We assume most guests book the cottage to relax and sometimes to get away from everyday life. The cottage is self contained and so unless there is a specific issue that needs addressing we tend to keep to ourselves. Often we will greet the guests on arrival but if we are not at that moment in time we will tend to leave guests alone.
If required a double inflatable bed is provided if there are more than 2 guests. Bed linen and towels supplied but no face cloths. Please drive slowly (20mph) along Long Lane and full instructions regarding power supply to the cottage, electronic entrance gate codes & internet will be supplied on booking in the house manual. The cottage has it's own keys and you are welcome to come and go as you please. Please email/call regarding any other specific requests such as an iron, hairdryer or microwave. These are only provided in request.
Lovely use of a small and cozy space, clean bedroom and bathroom. Freezing cold shower (maybe our fault for not turning that on however would of been nice to of had that already on)
No complaints, fair price.
As described, the Cosy Cottage is a comfortable and peaceful place to unwind. Kitted out with all the necessities we enjoyed a night stay, using the kitchen facilities to make dinner and relax in the evening. As other guests have mentioned, we were free to come and go as we pleased. We didn't meet Conrad, but that suited us fine. We look forward to staying again!
Would definitely recommend to anyone! The cottage was lovely and is in a perfect location. The owner was friendly and helpful. We had a very enjoyable stay and would happily go back.
It was straightforward to get there, uncomplicated to survive, and incredibly comfy to stay.
The windmill is a lovely place to steal away for a quiet weekend. The village is a short pleasant walk from the property and has everything you need. Conrad was warm & welcoming, gave us privacy as well as a steer in the right direction when we needed it. The place was clean, comfortable bed and kitchen well kitted out for cooking meals.
Great little windmill! Didn't meet Conrad during the stay, but he was always available via email/text & made sure the place was nice and cosy before we arrived.
Would recommend this place to others.
We had a brilliant weekend . Beautiful surroundings and the accommodation was perfect for us . We bought our dog who enjoyed the gardens . We would definitely recommend and hopefully will return .
Conrad lives at Windmill House with a large but good Dobermann and would also welcome visitors with one dog. The cottage is attached to the large Tower Windmill built in 1836 which dominates the 7 acres of grounds and our house. The property is very secure and quiet but within walking distance of the local high street in the picturesque conservation village of Linton.
