The Space

Comfortably accommodates 2 adults in the double bed in the bedroom of this cosy fully furnished, well equipped, one bedroom recently refurbished cottage close to Cambridge, Newmarket & Saffron Walden.

The cottage is attached to the large Tower Windmill built in 1836 which dominates the 7 acres of grounds and our house. The property is secure and quiet but within walking distance of the local high street in the picturesque conservation village of Linton.

Bathroom with a shower, well equipped kitchen with oven, hob, fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle. Electric underfloor heating installed in bathroom and lounge. Independant hot water supply, free wireless internet, HD freeview LED TV, washing machine and a separate dryer, off street parking and set within a 7 acre private gated property. Bed linen and towels supplied. Face cloths not supplied.

Walking distance to the Co-op convenience store (8am-10pm), 3 lovely local pubs (the Dog & Duck highly recommended) and a good indian restaurant. Many tourist attractions, fine dining and excellent shopping experiences are all within a short distance by car and/or in the historic city of Cambridge itself.

In the conservation village of Linton, South Cambridgeshire we have easy access to Cambridge (20mins), Saffron Walden (15mins), Addenbrookes Hospital (15mins) Racing at Newmarket (20mins) Duxford National Air Museum (10mins) Stansted Airport (30mins), Linton Zoo (local), Chilford Hall Winery (local).

There are occasional celebratory events held here as well such Birthday parties and Charity fund raisers.

The bus stop is conveniently 600m away and buses into Cambridge & Cambridge station are every 30 minutes.

Guest Access

The cottage.
The driveway with secure parking behind electric gates.
The 7 acres of gardens and woods.

Interaction with Guests

We assume most guests book the cottage to relax and sometimes to get away from everyday life. The cottage is self contained and so unless there is a specific issue that needs addressing we tend to keep to ourselves. Often we will greet the guests on arrival but if we are not at that moment in time we will tend to leave guests alone.
