About This Listing
Having enjoyed using Airbnb in the USA while travelling the world a few years ago, I now offer a clean comfortable base for travellers and tourists to my home in the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park in Mid-Wales.
This listing is a comfortable and homely double-bedded room. It is a good size and sits close to a large bathroom with shower and bath options.
Clean bed linen and towels are provided for your stay.
A simple breakfast of toast, cereal, fruit, coffee and teas is provided, (self-service), but if you want a cooked breakfast this can be arranged at a nominal cost when you book or arrive.
The kitchen and dining rooms are available for self-catering if you wish.
The rest of my home and south-facing garden with patio area is available for you to relax in while you're not out and about enjoying the beauty of the stunning local scenery!
The property is adjacent Christ College in the market town of Brecon, and set within the beautiful National Park. We are near to local shops, supermarkets and other amenities. Many cafes and tea shops as well as the local farmers market can be found in the town along with craft and outdoor goods and gift shopping.
Brecon has it's own Jazz Festival in August, and along with the nearby Hay-on-Wye cultural festival in early June, they provide culture to complement the local Theatre Brycheiniog.
Walkers will find this ideal an ideal base for exploring the area, and my home will provide the perfect place to take your boots off and relax after a long day out!
Free Wifi is available throughout the house and garden.
I am likely to be present during your stay as I work from home, but will not be intrusive to your privacy and will happily offer advice and ideas to help you enjoy your stay if requested.
The house is smoker-free, but there is no problem with smoking in the garden (where I do!)
The rules are simple:
Arrival after 4pm please, and before 10pm if possible... I need my sleep!
Departures by 11am and leave the rooms as you found them.
Please let me know of any problems and I will do my best to rectify or help.
Full kitchen facilities with a Dining room are available for your use, but arrange with me beforehand of any special parties you may want to have.... I might like an invite!
Enjoy your stay with me...
We had a great time staying at Geoff's home, and found Geoff to be very friendly, hospitable and extremely helpful. As visitors to Brecan he gave us lots of advice on places to visit and things to do and we enjoyed the time spent there following the ideas he suggested. I recommend this BnB to anyone spending a few days in the area.
Geoff was such a wonderful hosts, he helped us with hiring bikes and gave us suggestions on what to do in Brecon. We had a lovely time there and it was a pleasure to have him as out host :)
Geoff is a well organized and fabulous host. He made sure I had a key so I could drop off my stuff when I arrived before he did. He provided a wonderful clean space and welcomed me into his home. Geoff gave me good advice about the area so I could make the best use of my time. I enjoyed myself thoroughly.
Very welcoming, accommodating and relaxed, many thanks for your hospitality!
Geoff made us feel very welcome. He was friendly and happy to offer good advice about places to go in the local area.
The room was as you would expect, nice and clean, nothing crazy fancy. He provided a lovely morning breakfast before we headed on our way.
Geoff was a friendly, thoughtful and helpful host. He had information leaflets about Brecon to lend us, he offered us a good breakfast, and was kind enough to answer all our questions about local attractions and restaurants. The room was clean and inviting. Plus, his house is in walking distance from the coach station. I recommand this address !
Geoff was really helpful and made us feel very comfortable and at home in his house. It was very spacious and we easily had everything we needed.
