I have enjoyed using Airbnb in the USA, and now offer a clean comfortable base for travellers and tourists to the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park in Mid-Wales.
This listing is a comfortable and homely double-bedded room. It is a good size and sits close to a large bathroom with shower and bath options.
Clean bed linen and towels are provided for your stay.
A simple breakfast of toast, cereal, fruit, coffee and teas are freely available, but if you require a cooked breakfast this can be arranged by negotiation when you book or arrive. All kitchen and dining facilities are available for self-catering if you wish.
The rest of my home and south-facing garden is available to you to relax in while you're not out and about enjoying the beauty of the stunning local scenery!
The property is adjacent Christ College in the market town of Brecon, and set within the beautiful National Park. We are near to local shops, supermarkets and other amenities. Many cafes and tea shops as well as the local farmers market can be found in the town along with craft and outdoor goods and gift shopping.
Brecon has it's own Jazz Festival in August, and along with the nearby Hay-on-Wye cultural festival in early June, they provide culture to complement the local Theatre Brycheiniog.
Walkers will find this ideal an ideal base for exploring the area, and my home will provide the perfect place to take your boots off and relax after a long day out!
Free Wifi is available throughout the house and garden.
I am likely to be present during your stay as I work from home, but will not be intrusive to your privacy and can happily offer advice and ideas to help you enjoy your stay if requested.
The house is smoker-free, but there is no problem with smoking in the garden (where I do!)
It's been a great stay! We spent a weekend in a lovely area and were so lucky to meet Geoff. He's a very nice and kind person and host and helped us with advice and providing us with some maps of the park! Room was nice and tidy amd we had a selection of cereals for breakfast included in the room price which I found perfect! Thanks Geoff!!!!
My friend and I had a lovely weekend staying in the Brecon with Geoff! He was a great host, very welcoming and friendly :) although we didn't manage as much walking as planned we are hoping to visit again at some point when the weather is better!! Thanks again for your hospitality Geoff :)
Geoff is a very friendly and welcoming host with a comfortable clean home. We especially enjoyed the dinner offered to us when we arrived, as it was a chance to eat with and get to know him, and cheap and delicious as well!
Geoff's house is very beautiful, spacious and welcoming. Our beds were substandial with fresh linen and towels. The whole house was spanking clean and our breakfast was lovely.
Whilst working at the royal welsh show we needed something convinent and this was perfect.
Our two night stay at Geoff's house was our first with airbnb and it was a very positive experience. Geoff was hospitable, friendly and chatty, yet unobtrusive. The house is clean and spacious and in a great location for exploring a beautiful area of Wales.
