Cowboy's Hideaway is perched on a prime corner location overlooking the quaint, historic Czech Village neighborhood of Cedar Rapids. Located above an old fashioned soda fountain and candy store, the apartment was just completely renovated with the most modern amenities, while maintaining the antique charm of the 1900's era building. You'll love the location, just steps away from wonderful local restaurants, boutiques and the best coffee shop in town right across the street!

The space
98 1/2 is a modern, luxurious western themed retreat. We've kept as much of the original bones of the apartment as possible, refinished the old wood floors, left some exposed brick. But we've added quartz counter tops, custom tiled bathroom and a western glam chandelier in the master bedroom which features a king memory foam mattress. The second bedroom has 2 twin memory foam beds, and a bonus workspace. The handsome leather sofa in the living room pulls out to a queen sleeper and a smart tv for streaming. (We do not have cable tv). The kitchen features an eat in peninsula, as well as a table for 4 and a coffee cart with a Keurig. We supply a few starter Kcups. But if you’re staying more than a couple of nights, you might want to bring some.

Guest access
Guests will enjoy the entire apartment. The only exception is the laundry room, which is reserved for guests staying a week or longer.

Neighborhood highlights

Czech Village is a charming, historic neighborhood which has always been home to restaurants, pubs, antique shops, a bakery, a meat market and the National Czech and Slovak Museum. In 2008, the area was devastated by a major flood. Work began right away to rebuild and today the Village is thriving, home to several new restaurants, boutiques, a sporting goods store and a fantastic coffee shop.
