Situated high above the banks of Loch Park, Dufftown, with views of the Cairngorms to the south-west and Drummuir Castle to the East. It's entirely off-grid allowing you to relax and unwind in a quiet and secluded location.

The cabin sleeps two, with a cosy bed in the mezzanine, a shower room, open plan sitting and kitchenette and balcony with spectacular views over the loch below.

Dufftown is 3.5 miles , Keith is 7 miles and the village of Drummuir 1.5 miles

The space
Loch Park Cabin is a new cabin and is ideal for a couple looking for a short break. It contains everything you need for a relaxing stay in the countryside. It has an open plan layout, with log-burning stove, a compact kitchen area complete with gas hob, fridge and a range of pot, pans and crockery. The 'Scottish double' bed is tucked in the mezzanine floor, which is accessed via a steep staircase. The shower room has a walk-in shower, flushing loo and basin.

Although it's off-grid, the Cabin has USB charging points, internal and external lights and hot water is provided by a bottled gas boiler. The log store will be full for your use.

The Cabin is accessed via a private and gated track, with parking to the rear. Clean bedding and towels are provided.

The Cabin is located in the heart of historic Banffshire, the home of Malt Whisky and with easy access to the beautiful beaches of the Moray coast and to the remote Cairngorm Mountains.

The Cabin is accessed from the public road and onto a private track. The eastern end of the Loch is home to the Loch Park Centre, where you can book fishing on the Loch - there is an abundance of wild brown trout!

There are walking routes to explore from the back door of the cabin, around the loch or on to Dufftown using the Isla Way footpath.

The local town of Dufftown has a fantastic range of activities available from golf, walking the local hills such as the Convals or Ben Rinnes or long-distance footpaths (Speyside Way) or visiting the many malt whisky distilleries - Glenfiddich and Balvenie amongst the most popular. There is an excellent range of shops for all the essentials you might need during your stay, as well as a selection of cafes and restaurants.

Within easy reach, there is the opportunity to visit the Moray coast, taking boat trips to watch dolphins or visit some Castles, such as the ruins of Auchindoun Castle, family-owned Ballindalloch Castle or the Royal Family's summer residence of Balmoral Castle.

Of course, you can sit on the decking and enjoy the local scenery and wildlife, keeping an eye on the ospreys which fish on the loch and deer which browse the local hills or even watch out for the volunteer-run Keith to Dufftown Railway service.
