  • Great location for exploring Brooklyn and Manhattan. Comfy bed, bright room. 5 flights of steps were something after a long night. But we both lost about 5 lbs each during our week stay :) Charlotte was kind and available when we needed.

  • Loved the place! Excellent location - great coffee just a block away, next metro also just a block away, lower Manhattan just a short (and breathtaking) walk across Manhattan or Brooklyn bridge. Charlotte is a great host, she took care of everything and I felt like staying at a friend's place.

  • Charlotte is a gracious host and provides information on the local spots to visit. The apartment is unique, artsy and very well located close to the subway and right under the Manhattan Bridge. The apartment could have been cleaner and the excursion up and down the 5 flights was a bit more vigorous than anticipated.

  • We had a great time staying in the loft, and Charlotte is a great host who helped with lots of local and practical info. If you're after a spotlessly clean place, this may not be for you, but the loft has great charm and character, and is perfect for anyone looking for an authentic alternative stay in an old and worn, basic warehouse conversion. Charlotte has an amazing collection of period furniture and quirky brick-a-brac from the past few decades, and the loft is filled with green plants. The location is unbeatable for exploring DUMBO, Brooklyn and lower Manhattan. We even managed to get around lots of places on foot when the subway wasn't running after Sandy. Overall we had a fantastic stay with Charlotte.

  • Lovely appartment, located in a great area.
I would never have discovered Brooklyn, if I hadn't stayed at charlotte's.
The appartment itself is an interesting space (also chaotic), full of interesting books and curious things.
    The bedroom was very confortable!

  • Charlotte welcomed me in her amazing artist loft in DUMBO, Brooklyn. I loved the placed, decorated with random and original items from all decades of the last century.
She was very easy going and open minded, I had a wonderful time.
