The space
This yurt is truly a masterpiece! The magnificent circular skylight is definitely a standout feature, allowing you to witness breathtaking sunrises, sunsets, and stargazing right from the comfort of your own home. As you step onto the covered porch, the outside view becomes even more impressive. The lower level showcases the seamless flow of the round structure, with the spacious kitchen seamlessly opening into the inviting living room, and then leading to the grand master bedroom, completing the circle in the exquisitely designed bathroom. The downstairs living space also boasts a generous dining area. You'll find everything you need to unwind and indulge in relaxation.

During the winter, the yurt becomes the epitome of coziness. The radiant flooring system ensures that the entire foundation, walls, furniture, and everything in the space is heated, creating a warm and delightful ambiance. Every touch will be met with cozy warmth and absolute loveliness.

The upstairs loft is even more spacious than you can imagine, with wooden beams adorning the ceiling up to the skylight, and plenty of room for any activity you desire! Whether it's practicing yoga, diving into a good book, or letting the children play, there's ample space for it all.

Conveniently, the yurt offers two parking spaces right in front and a large private yard with seating. We provide beach equipment and complimentary kayaking or paddleboarding for your stay!

Neighborhood highlights

The yurt is tucked back down a private road with lots of trees, but close to everything you want and need on the island. Just a 10 minute bike ride into Oak Bluffs town center, you can take advantage of the many restaurants and coffee shops right around the corner. Easily bike to the beach in 15 minutes or to Ocean Park for a picnic! Edgartown and Vineyard Haven are just a short drive away so you can explore the other towns as well! We will provide you with our favorite recommendations from food to activities upon your arrival!

Chick Stapleton Owner, Island Spirit Kayak Chick started Island Spirit Kayak twenty three years ago, after graduating Boston University and a two-year internship with the Sydney Olympic Committee. Her passion for paddling and travel inspired her to work for other kayak companies around the world in the off season to gain experience to then grow her own. She became a certified instructor trainer and was able to paddle for other companies in New Zealand, Australia, Thailand, Nova Scotia, Panama, Hong Kong, San Francisco, Myanmar and most recently; Vieques, Puerto Rico. Among her many adventures, she paddled over a Great White, was capsized by a whale, camped in a bat cave, experienced Williwaws and kayaked with a gibbon. Island Spirit Kayak is now a team of sixteen paddlers strong, all of who are dedicated to helping others learn and appreciate the aquaculture of our ponds and barrier beaches. Chick and Tyler have two sons whom are now the fourth generation of islanders to live and appreciate the water on the Vineyard and are already in training to become future leaders of environmental impacts on our oceans and for Island Spirit Kayak.
