About this listing
NOW RENTING FROM MARCH 1st. THREE MONTH MINIMUM
Sunny and clean 2-bedroom apartment [used as a large 1-bedroom] w/ WiFi and great Park Slope location. Three subway lines & many cool places--restaurants, cafes, shopping--are steps away. New York magazine named Park Slope the best area in New York. Everyone from mayor Bill De Blasio to author Paul Auster to actor Steve Buscemi lives in this pleasant, safe and fun neighborhood.
Everybody loves this apartment. Located on the 4th and top floor of a well-maintained small building, this 650 square foot (65 square meter) apartment gets great light and ventilation from its south and north exposures.
This is a 2-bedroom apartment set up as a large, expansive one-bedroom that is perfect for a single professional, couple or small family. It was recently professionally painted and features nice details like wood floors, a bathroom skylight, French doors and a decorative fireplace.
The building has two security doors, an intercom system, and a free washer/dryer in the basement.
NOTE: The apartment is partially furnished: a double bed, shelves for clothes and books, a clothes closet, a nice couch, a table and four well as cutlery, coffee maker and everything you need for cooking. There's also an a/c unit, multiple fans and a very good iPod docking station. Fast new WiFi is also included.
The whole apartment is open to guests, as well as the basement laundry room and future roof deck (summer 2017).
Interaction with guests
I don't live on the premises, but I am in frequent contact with guests.
The location is also fantastic. The subway is VERY close, and the many cool restaurants, cafes, boutiques and bars of 5th Avenue are around the corner. Prospect Park, with its grassy meadows and jogging paths and summer concerts/films, is an easy 10-15 minute walk or quick bus ride.
Come see why New York magazine rated Park Slope as the Best Neighborhood in New York City!
Super easy. The F, G and R train stop is one block away. You're 15 minutes from Manhattan and also close to other very cool Brooklyn neighborhoods such as Carroll Gardens, Boerum Hill, DUMBO, Bed-Stuy and Williamsburg.
Other things to note
The building is small and friendly. We all care very much about the building and are constantly spending money on new projects to improve it.
Unlike most landlords, I don't charge a cleaning fee. I just ask that guests clean the apartment and wash the sheets/towels before leaving.
My downstairs neighbor is a bit sensitive to noise, so I ask guests not to have parties or social events at the apartment. I also ask kindly that you smoke outside the apartment.
Travel is my life. I work as a travel journalist and love meeting people from all different countries and cultures. I am very respectful of other people's homes (I am pretty quiet and don't smoke) and thus ask the same in return. I will keep your place neat and organized, just as I keep my own home. Feel free to send me any questions about anything.
