Attic Room Warm and quiet in friendly house
Cosy Attic Room available for short term stays in Dublin in a beautiful, quiet, well equipped house with garden. Double futon with comfortable mattress in a quiet attic space with cable tv (over 100 channels). Bathroom and kitchen are shared with owner who will make you feel welcome and help you connect with the real Dublin. Kitchen is available for breakfast and snacks.
Near to shops, trams and buses. Only 10 minutes walk from a Modern Art Gallery, the historic Kilmainham Jail, the Guinnesses Brewery and the Phoenix Park. 10 mins by tram into the city centre of Dublin.
If you want to get a sense of an inner city working class neighbourhood in Dublin, near the Canal you will enjoy Rialto. It is like a village in the city with a coffee shop and two pubs. Not too far away there is a very good italian restaurant (Inchicore) and Dublin city has everything a visitor needs.
We were in town for a concert at the Royal Hospital and Roisin's house was perfectly located for this. I could even listen to the show the night before from the room and the backyard.
The room was big, clean and cosy and we enjoyed it very much when we came home pretty exhausted and needed a good sleep.
Roisin was very welcoming and helpful with directions and anything else we needed. It felt more like staying with friends or relatives than with somebody we just met. We had nice chats and her home felt just like that - a home.
I can definitely recommend staying here and if we would attend another show at the Royal Hospital in the future we'll book again
Thanks for all. Christina
Roisin very easy to talk with and find out anything needed.Stayed at the beginning and end of my stay in Ireland..Luas Tram stopped about 10 minute walk around the corner so was very handy for connections with 747 Airlink bus at either Houston or Basaras Stations to and from the Airport..Quiet neighbourhood..some shops etc very close by.Has been a very long time since staying in a Attic room so had to remember to keep in the middle as i am (website hidden) mentioned to Roisin a higher bed will not fit really so i feel guests are going to sleep on a Futon type bed which is low. A budget stay to bear in mind especially with Luas being handy for different stops and sights.
Roisin is a wonderful host and it was great to talk with her. The house and the room are very cosy and just as described with a very personal style. It's only a 10 minutes walk to the Luas and you can reach the city centre in less than 10 minutes. A perfect stay with an extraordinary person. I will surely come back.
This was an excellent AirBnB experience: Roisin is a great host who makes you feel comfortable and at home from the very first moment.
The house is really nice and so is the room. The futon bed is comfortable; there is a TV in the room. Even in a warm summer's week, the two windows allow for enough air circulation so that it does not get too hot.
(location: walk to city centre doable, between 30 and 40 mins, depending on pace)
Roisin is a fantastic friendly host. It's also a very quiet place to escape the city center and hear the birds singing...
Roisin is an amazing host! She was very accommodating to my unexpected late arrival and even made up a list of transportation, pubs, events, and day trips for me. The room is exactly as pictured in the description, and Roisin was kind enough to add a second mattress for my friend. There was plenty of space for the two of us for a full week. It was about a 5-10 minute walk to the tram station or a 40 minute walk to St. Stephen's Green in the city center. I definitely recommend this place!
Staying in a house full of book was like being at home! Add the fact that the room was quiet and clean, minutes from the bus stop or Luas and very easy to find it a plus! Thank you Roisin for being friendly, for sharing your lovely house, and for the heartwarming breakfast overlooking your absolutely fabulous garden! I would recommend to you all to stay at Roisin, it will be an extra experience to your vacation!
Roisin was a great host. She was very welcoming and she gave me advices to enjoy perfectly my stay in Dublin. The room was quiet, warm and conftortable. The house is not far from the city centre, it was quite easy to go there just walking.
