Nestled in a ravine and surrounded by towering oak trees, 30 min. from the DFW area, The Casa Estiva is truly a place of natural refuge providing a good dose of peace for the soul. Imagine awakening to song birds all around you. Then, when evening arrives, enjoy the quiet sounds of night. Built for the nature enthusiast with modern charm, The Casa Estiva is the magical stay you've been looking for!

The space
The Casa Estiva was created for those who long for peace which only nature can provide. We've created an indoor/outdoor living space on 3 ft. stilts in a ravine (about a 14 ft. drop) with oak trees all around you. It's so unique, Airbnb does not have a category for it. The Casa Estiva is an "inverted treehouse-lol". Being in a ravine is actually more secluded than a treehouse because you are "hemmed in" by the land and looking up and all around you at the oak trees. It feels as if its' your own private cabin in the woods...a million miles away.

There is a covered area with a sofa and outdoor table and chairs with an outdoor TV/firestick.
The bedroom has a high ceiling, lots of light and two relaxing chairs with a streaming TV.
In terms of food: bring easy...yes, bring what can either be cooked in a small microwave, grilled or plan to eat out in Weatherford.
Nextlink/Business Megalink Plan provides superior Wifi on the entire property.

A charcoal grill is provided for your own private use. Bring charcoal, we have lighter fluid. Last but not least, we have a fire pit on the hill where you can enjoy stargazing and the quiet of the night.
WE LOVE SPOILING OUR GUESTS and leave homemade cookies and farm fresh eggs from The Chix Inn.

Our 4 acres is for you to explore. Our property is gated, very safe and secluded yet not too far from Weatherford.

READING, TALKING, DREAMING? a delightful pergola with swinging chairs and a hammock await you! Plus, a great place to watch birds and play ping pong or darts. We even leave coloring books.

GARDEN INTEREST? You are welcome to wonder about the garden and pick a few veggies. Plus, there is a wonderful family of hummingbirds who migrate to the property for the warm seasons. 4 Welsh Harlequin ducks now call the garden their home and they love visitors!

GRILLING? Lighter fluid and matches are provided; just bring your charcoal.

CAMP FIRE? There is plenty of firewood (FREE) and stargazing is encouraged at the fire pit area on the hill.

PRAYER PATH? A wonderful path to pray with plenty of shade and good places to stay awhile.

Other things to note
* CLEANING AND SANITIZING: For those who are sensitive to perfumes and fragrances, we only use naturally derived products. We do not use air fresheners or any artificial fragrances of any kind.

Note on change in 2026: the hammock was removed and a purposely created grounding area is in its' place. Several hammocks are available on the property..including one at the pergola.

After many years working and living in the city, we feel so blessed to wake up to sound of birds rather than the morning commute. My favorite destinations are Nepal and Cambodia.
