  • Very nice and cozy room. Excellent central location with some good bakeries, cafés and bars around. Elena and her mother Zinaida are very friendly and helpful hosts. I would certainly recommend this place.

  • I had a lovely weekend at Elena's home. She was away working, so I spent most of the time with her mother, Zinaida. Zinaida is an exceptional hostess--she was welcoming, kind, and made sure I had everything that I needed. She's such a loving woman; I really felt like I was staying with family. When I arrived she gave me tea and snacks and talked to me about the city; the morning that I left, she got up early to make me delicious dollar pancakes and even walked me to the airport bus stop so I wouldn't get lost. She really went out of her way to make me comfortable in her home; she was great company, but respected my privacy.
The apartment is spotless, charming, and cozy. It was also warm in the winter (unusual in Spain, where central heating is rare). My room was beautiful and comfortable and the Wifi worked with no problem. Having a private bathroom was really nice, too.
The house is very well situated; it's only a few minutes from the metro and a short walk from Las Ramblas. It's also a few blocks from an airport bus stop (from there you can get a bus directly to both airport terminals), which was really convenient for me.
Zinaida and I spoke Russian, but I think she knows enough English and Spanish to get by. Her daughter Elena, who I met the morning I left, was very friendly; her English and Spanish are quite good.
I would definitely recommend this house to all travelers. Thanks to Zinaida and Elena, I had a wonderful time in Barcelona, and I'm sure you will, too.

I and my boss booked 4 days for our business trip.
This cozy place is flawless for 1 or 2 people.
You can use own wardrobe and bathroom.
Also you can share living room and kitchen with kind host.

  • Elena was a great host, offering us suggestions for places to go and good neighborhoods for restaurants. The explanation about the metro was invaluable. Her flat was perfect for our needs – comfortable beds, hot shower, close to the metro and within walking distance of some of the major attractions we wanted to see. It was a great start to our Spanish holiday. Would definitely recommend staying with Elena!

  • My friend and I stayed for 4 nights at Elena's apartment. It was our first time using Airbnb and everything worked perfectly. The apartment is very well located, in walking distance from La Rambla, and on the route of the airbus A1 (the direct bus to/from the airport). The room was very clean and we had our own bathroom with hair drier. The room is dark, you cannot really tell how the weather is outside, but we didn't spend much time at home anyway. We were allowed to use the kitchen (the fridge, the microwave etc), so one day we just had a snack on the beautiful balcony. We were bothered a little by a very loud air conditioner outside (probably from a neighbour), but since we didn't sleep with the window open, it was ok. Elena's mother also offered us breakfast (instant coffee and tea, toast and some jam) which was very thoughtful of her, however, there are some very good bakeries very close to the apartment, which have good coffee and very good sandwiches or pastries. We didn't meet Elena until our last day, which was a little unfortunate as we would have liked to ask a few things about Barcelona. But her mother was always open for giving instructions, although her English is not very good. We managed somehow to communicate in a mix of English and Spanish which was quite funny. All in all a very pleasant stay and I would definitely go there again. Thanks!

  • The location of this apartment is second to none - close to Plaza Catalunya, Ramblas and St. Antoni, but above all only 2 blocks from an airport bus stop. Elena's mother, a retired medical doctor from Russia, looked after us throughout. She was most simpatica and attentive to our needs. We were made to feel at home although it helps to know a bit of Spanish. The only downside was some noise from the air conditioner of a neighbor but this would only be a problem in summer and surely can be sorted out by them. This was our first experience with airbnb and we felt it was worth it.

  • We stayed 5 nights in Elena's flat. It is perfect for two people and very clean. It is located in a strategic position close to the Ramblas (which can be reached by a short walk), several metro stops and a recommended burger restaurant. It has a private bathroom with a large shower and also the hair dryer. Elena and her mother are very kind, they gave us useful information to arrange our visit of the city. Zinaida was like a mother for us and she prepared a delicious breakfast. We really recommend this accommodation for your stay in Barcelona. спасибо, many thanks and we hope to see you soon!!! :-)

  • My daughter and I stayed with Elena and her mom for four nights. The room was small but clean and cozy. The private bathroom was very clean and comfortable. Elena and her mom were very nice, and her mom made breakfast for us every day. We felt spoiled! I enjoyed chatting with Elena in the evenings. The location is very convenient to the metro, and walking distance to the center of town. We would cheerfully stay with Elena and her mom again!

  • I had a great time at Elena's place. Her mom was extremely kind and hospitable and she prepared great breakfast for me. The location was also perfect as Placa de Catalunya was within walking distance. I would like to thank Elena and her mother for my great experience in Barca!

  • My friend and I stayed at Elena's apartment for three nights last week and enjoyed it very much. Elena replied promptly to my emails before we arrived in Barcelona, and offered advice on how to travel from the airport. The twin bedroom and the bathroom were clean and tidy. Elena's mother provided breakfast for us each morning at a time that suited us. Our hosts were helpful but unobtrusive. Overall, this was a very good airbnb experience.
