Our mansion is located very close to Tsudanuma station, 3 minutes on foot. Tsudanuma is conveniently located in between both airports, Narita (1h) and Haneda (1h), via Tokyo (30min) on the JR Sobu line.
Happy to share our 3LDK (65sqm), new mansion type accommodation equipped with all sorts of electronic gadgets, with lovely globetrotters. You have your own Japanese tatami room. Package for two including breakfast (vegetarian possible) is 7,600 Yen or 4,900 Yen plus Airbnb booking fee for one person a night. Huge supermarket across the street and Lawson convenience store with an Italian restaurant right in front of the building. Shopping centers, restaurants, bars, amusements, and lots of greenery within minutes by foot here in Tsudanuma. Great for those who are coming from Narita and need a place to rest before heading towards busy Tokyo and the rest of Japan, or wise reverse.
Kids: We have 2 little boys (4Y + 6Y as of 2014), so we welcome and always appreciated families w/kids. Great experience for our kids to meet other cultures.
Travel: It takes 1h to get to Shibuya, Harajuku, Shinjuku, and other parts of central Tokyo. Akihabara, Asakusa, and Tsukiji are even closer. 15 minutes to Chiba and 45 minutes to Tokyo Disney Land / Sea. The popular Makuhari Messe (convention center) and beach at Kaihinmakuhari are accessible within 20 minutes by public transportation. Use [Hyperdia] online to lock-up your best train connection. If you wish to travel extensively in Japan (Kyoto, Osaka, Kobe, etc.), consider purchasing the Japan Rail Pass, before coming to Japan.
Mobile: Need a phone or internet connection? Rent a mobile phone at the airport, or order a SIM card online through [bmobile] and have it sent to us one week prior to your arrival. Or get a Pocket WiFi at [japanwifiservice]. Korean mobile phone providers offer a Japan network flat rate for their subscribers. In Japan, Starbucks and other etablissements don't let you connect easily to their WiFi, so don't count on it like you do in your own country. When at home, you can of course use our wireless internet. We also have 1 travel power adapter available for your electronic device. The voltage here is 110V, so it's safe (but less powerful) to use European (220V) electronic devices.
We're laid back, understanding, and accommodating. We hope you're too.
Where do i even start with this guy!?Fetch me when i was stranded at the airport at 0230 hours in the morning!Set up my bed make my breakfast, drive me back in the snow and even carry my luggage!Lovely n warmth family just make it all complete as i was as miserable due to the bad weather and couldn't get a flight home!I would recommend this buddy of mine,Pat,to host you and meet your needs while ur stay in japan.Highly recommended...No letting down!I love you buddy! - greeting from Singapore.
Patric is a great host and conversationalist! Upon arrival at Tsudanuma, Patric was ready at the station to greet me. (Unfortunately, I missed him because I was too focused at the map) Japan is definitely a slightly challenging country to navigate. (Even my local friends got lost while trying to show me around.) But Patric's directions made things significantly less challenging.
Patric hosted me for a day during my transit in Japan. The train connects Narita directly to Tsudanuma without a need to transfer. It is certainly convenient for anyone who wish to do a short visit outside Narita during transit.
Patric and Takae-chan has two beautiful boys who enjoyed guests as much as Patric does. They were such fun company. Patric's home is clean and really close to the train station and many business establishments. There were so many interesting things to look at on the way to Patric's apartment. But what really made the stay great was Patric and his welcoming family :) Thank you!
Patric and the family is very nice, we treasure the time with them.
Travelling from his home is not a matter as it is just close to a station interchage with direct rail connecting to Tokyo, the south and the east.
You can really feel the style of Tokyo sub-urban life in a relaxing manner, and enjoy the nice breakfast preparing by Patric, either inside or outside at the balcony (providing that it is not too cold!)
The kids are also lovely and you don't need to worry about them. In fact they may give you help sometimes (eg wrapping the bed).
I will recommend Patric to others especially western people who is not familiar with the local language.
Patric and his family are the best hosts you could ever imagine. They are very helpful and make us feel very much like at home. Beware of the kids!! You will easily get attached to them because they are really super cute. I would definitely stay with them again.
Patric and his lovely family, including two very active kids, are the most hospitable and generous ones I have ever met. Although it was my first time to stay at a room offered via AirBnb, he gave me all necessary instructions in a very clear way to understand.
His mansion room is also one of the most comfortable to stay in. Kitchen, bathroom, toilet, living room, all are very clean and neat. If you are from abroad Japan, the traditional Japanese room, Tatami (畳) or Washitsu (和室) will welcome you with an interesting experience.
Location is perfect. From Narita Airport, just 1 hour by a train without transfer. To Tokyo Metro area, easily accessible also by train whose station is just 5 mins walk from his room.
Overall, I personally and strongly recommend anyone looking for a room to stay in Tokyo!
If you want a base to explore Tokyo and the surrounding area, Patric and his family is a great way to go. Patric has lived there for 17 years and can give you detailed instructions on how to get around using the incredibly punctual JR railway system. The station is a 5 minute walk. His family is friendly, casual and delightful. The room is separated from the rest of the apartment by traditional sliding screens and I slept really well on the futon (email hidden)tric will show you the local city life and invite you to eat out with the family. I always felt relaxed and welcome there. Nice place!
Patric, Takae and their two kids were great to stay with. We were in Chiba for an event (TGS) at Makuhari Messe and the location was very convenient. Our busy schedule meant we didn't spend much time at the house but what time we did was very nice and relaxed. Patric and Takae are friendly, helpful hosts and Max and Felix are both really sweet kids and fun to be around. Would definitely stay again.
Special note to the excellent vegetarian breakfasts Patric and Takae prepared for us which were a perfect way to start a busy day.
Patric, Takae, Max and Felix have been alsolutely wonderful. Patric came and picked me up from the station and whenever I needed anything I could count on him or Takae to help out. The boys are incredibly sweet and get very attached, very fast.
The room is perfectly fine. It is roomy, light, private and comfortable. Guests do not get their own access key but getting into the house was never an issue. Breakfast was always a good start of the morning and... well... I would recommend staying with them to see for yourself how hospitable they are.
Great location, very close to train station and retail district. Patric was an awesome host - super helpful wrt things to see/do in Tokyo. He even, unexpectedly, came looking for us at the train station when we arrived!
Bed, shower, breakfast all super. Would stay here again.
The location of this apartment is superb, 5 minutes walk to everything crucial for daily life. Patric is a passionate, colorful, and helpful host. He has a nice family, with two adorable boys.
My stay is relaxing and enjoyable.
