  • Fotis was very helpful right from the start of our enquiry up until our departure. we even missed the boat on our original departure day and he came immediately to let us back into the apartment despite the early morning hour! the apartment itself is lovely. It is spacious, well equipped and in a great location. We liked it so much, we are defenitely going back the next time we visit Athens. Thank you Fotis for a great stay.

  • We loved our stay in Athens, and are so happy we chose to stay with Fotis! Both him and his wife are amazing! Gave us invaluable advice even before we came to Greece. About getting to the apartment from the airport, what attractions to see and cheapest way to see them (if you buy a ticket to Acropolis you get free entry to 4 other attractions). About the tram tickets (weekly card is 14 Euros and covers all modes of transport).
I was asking a lot of questions about holidaying with a little toddler and he put me at ease and made everything comfortable for us. Even brought us a microwave which helped immensely.
The flat itself is very clean, and very spacious. Air con is in every room, all the amenities you need, a lot of room for little one to run around.
The location is the best part! We would never stay anywhere else, and we plan to come back.
The park opposite is amazing!! Buzzing with people day and night...never seen so many people jogging and we live in London. It has a great playground there, and people are extremely friendly. Our little boy made friends in no time and so did we.
Tram is brilliant, it takes you about 15min to the beach (Edem was our favourite), and about the same to the city centre. Trams are air conditioned too and great way to travel.
We have found the best bakery few minutes walk from the apartment. If you turn left on the main street and walk for few minutes it'll be on your left. Kind of half way to the tram station Agias Foteinis Sq. Open 24/7.
A great place to go for dinner is The Meat House, just 2min walk after that same tram station, again on the left. They have free bear evenings on Wed and Thurs. Not to be missed. Great food, very reasonable prices and massive portions.
We opted for a pizza few times as well. There is a good pizzeria called Mama Mia just next to the closest tram station (Aegaiou). And even better one called PizzaFan near station Agia Paraskevi. Think it was 4th station going towards the beach.
Food shopping, I would recommend AB Supermarket. It is the cheapest and closest. Set in a great little piazza (just behind Agias Foteinis Sq station). Lots of places to eat, have coffee, amazing ice-cream and little shops as well.
If you feel lazy to use the tram taxi's are quite cheap and there are lots of them. Be warned that none of taxi's we used knew where our street was. The best way it to take photo of the tram station (Aegaiou), or write it down (I had problems pronouncing it). That will do the trick.
One thing not to miss while in Athens is visit to square next to Monastiraki metro station. Food, music and great atmosphere. And Hammam Baths- mind blowing experience. Go for Ali-mama treatment, amazing!!

  • Fotis is a wonderful helpful and thoughtful host. After meeting us at the tram, we're a little delayed he assisted us to the apartment. Gave clear concise instructions and guidance of the area, with further assistance as we needed. The apartment is in a great location, clean comfortable and safe. All the shops required are around the corner. Very highly recommended for value and safety

  • Very nice apartment that was clean and spacious. And the apartment had very good facilities. Extra plus for the park just across the street where I could run. The tram station is very near and two stations from the tram station you can access the red metro line. I came to like the area, Nea Smyrni where there are lots of shops, cafes and restaurants.
Fotis was the perfect host, very friendly and helpful! I highly recommend him as host!

  • We stayed at the flat near Aegeou tram station at Nea Smirni. We liked the flat at first look - it is really big, there were enough space even for our family of 4 adults and two children. First, that we noticed that there were cool even at the daytime. Then we looked on the kitchen and found everything we need there, especially it was good for us to have electric kettle. As a small advise to the hoster - it would be excellent to have also a microwave oven, that was the only thing that we needed to tell that the kitchen was ideal. As for the apartment location - it was really good for us. The tram station is really near the house. Moreover, it is very good that there is a kiosk ( not only automat) where we could buy tickets. We used 4 euro 24 hour tickets for all transport. You can't buy this ticket at the automat, only at the kiosks, and not all tram stations have such kiosks, but Aegeou has. You have to pass two tram stations, go to metro Neos Kosmos and pass another two metro stations to get to Acropolis. Or go by tram straight to Sintagma. Any way it was good location for us. Not far from the center, but in a quite and nice region. I can write a lot of good things but my bad English doesn't allow me to write a lot :) the only our complain - there were not mosquito nets on the windows. Be ready for this small problem and buy special repellent device! Fortis, thank you for such good suggestion! :) you are very helpful and good host!

I rent my properties since many years short term and long terms to tourists and visitors of Athens. I am glad to help and provide friendly accommodation. I personally like to travel around, have visited almost all European countries so far. I am married and we live in Athens, and visit a lot another nice place called Loutraki, 80 km away, where my parents live. I enjoy the smiles that satisfied tenants have after they leave Athens, and am glad when they come back. Feel free to contact me for anything you want to know about Athens, or questions you have on planning your trip, even if you won't stay at my apartment!
