Interaction with Guests

We bet you'll be outside enjoying Boulder as much as we do!
We are minutes walking distance from University of Colorado, and as well as NIST, NCAR and NOA.
Wonderful hiking trails are nearly out our front door in Boulder’s Open Space/Mountain Parks system. The University of Colorado and Chautauqua National Historic Landmark are within 5 minutes walking distance.
Just 5 blocks down the street is a convenient shopping area with a nice Whole Foods Express full line grocery market. The shopping area also includes a yoga studio, a Trek bicycle store which rents bikes by the day or week, several fast food shops and nice restaurants, an ATM, a Starbuck’s, and a comfortable, and a locally-owned Brewing Market coffee shop.
It’s a quick bus ride or a nice 1.5 mile walk to Boulder’s Pearl Street pedestrian mall where there's great shopping, dining, people-watching, etc.
It’s only a ten minute walk from our house to CU where there are museums, art galleries, dance productions, indoor and outdoor stage productions, concerts, lectures, planetarium shows, libraries, movies, film festivals, author readings, a bowling alley, athletic events, and more.
Walk a few blocks from our house and you can access the City of Boulder’s Open Space & Mountain Parks trails. Beginning at 17th and King Streets, you can hike in the flatiron mountains for hours! The entire Boulder trail system has at least 130 miles of trails, including 48 miles of mountain biking trails.
Walk or bus about a mile up to 9th and Baseline Streets to enjoy more hiking, picnicking, and a playground at the 100-year old Chautauqua Dining Hall and Auditorium. Chautauqua performances, entertainment and lectures are for all ages and feature ranger-led talks and walks at the Colorado Chautauqua National Historic Landmark and nearby trails.
Public transportation is safe and easy all around Boulder, between Boulder and downtown Denver, and between Boulder and the Denver International Airport (DIA).
We often use the RTD buses since it's only a five-block/ 8 minute walk from our house to a major bus stop at Baseline Road and Broadway St. There are buses to downtown Boulder every ten minutes.
The SkyRide from DIA to our bus stop costs about $13.00 each way (exact cash is required) and takes a little more than an hour.
You can also ride the RTD to get to and from the Eldora Mountain Ski Resort for downhill or Nordic skiing during the ski season!
Please don't let the cat out.
I love staying here. Found a bunch of new trails right around the corner and had a great week. Highly recommended.
Audrey and Dave were both very helpful, kind and professional. Their beautiful, clean and comfortable home is located just blocks from Chautauqua with one of the best views of the Flatirons I've found anywhere in Boulder.
The house is within an easy bike ride or walk of the grocery store, shopping and bus stops. I opted to rent a bike and was perfectly happy spending the week with no car. The neighborhood itself is a beautiful place to walk, but there are also adjacent hiking trails that lead into Chautauqua only about a block from the house.
Dave and Audrey were accommodating and thoughtful hosts, going well out of their way to ensure I had everything I needed. The guest bed was very comfortable with good support and I had ample privacy whenever I needed down time.
It was really nice to spend some time with a family, including when we ate together. I also got along well with Dave's son, Charlie, and we had a number of great conversations.
I highly recommend this listing and hope to visit again as soon as possible.
Omdat hun zoon plotseling thuis was mocht ik gebruik maken van hun ouderlijke slaapkamer met badkamer. David en Audrey waren erg vriendelijk en gastvrij. Ik heb me er thuis gevoeld.
Had a great stay! Room was comfortable. The patio was lovely and nice place to relax. Did not cook but easy access to kitchen to store food, get water, microwave. Great location - enjoyed being able to walk to the university for workshop, but then easy walk to hike in the Flatirons in the evenings. Nearby coffee shop also nice place to relax and do some work. Audrey and David were generous hosts and easy to be with.
David and Audrey were lovely hosts. They made me feel incredibly welcome, while at the same time giving me my privacy.
Upon arrival, the rental room was immaculate with all the tourism pamphlets, maps and several books about Boulder and the surrounding area. David certainly knows his way around the city, and can pretty much direct you to any amenity necessary. Their backyard patio was beautiful, and I would have spent more time hanging there had I not been spending so much time at breweries recommended by Dave.
I travel to Boulder weekly, and this is a great place to unwind after work. The patio is really welcoming. David and Audrey were friendly and accommodating.
Great hosts and house. As described, very chilled house with great outdoor deck. For proximity to amazing trails and UC was a winner.

Hi! We’re David and Audrey, and we’d like to welcome you to our home!
David has lived here in Boulder for over 20 years and loves sharing all his insight into what to do in and around Boulder. Audrey is newer to Boulder but enthusiastically shares her love for Boulder as well. If you need recommendations on a place to hike, bike, eat or shop, we’re glad to help!
We share our home with Dave's adult son Charlie and a very friendly indoor Siamese cat, Cholla.
We'd say we are geeky homebodies, but we love the active lifestyle here in Colorado and enjoy Boulder in all ways possible. We love travel, espresso, games and puzzles, volleyball, and the arts! Welcome to Boulder!
