Very charming old stone "mas", classified 3 ***, with the update comfort, attested in 1318 as a property of the Bishop of Vaison-la-Romaine, with a nice distribution of the housings all around the mas, avoiding any discomfort, with old beams, a park with old mediterranean trees, many flower beds, peace and beauty of the environment with gorgeous views of the nearby mountains (the Lance and other pre-Alpes massifs at east), and of the hills in south. A place of charm and delights. This house was an old property of Vaison-la-Romaine Bishops at the time of the Popes in Avignon (14th century), it knew then religious wars. Became a convent, it was sold as national property during the revolution in 1793. It became after that time a "treading mill" with its paddle wheel and hammers to soften wool, and then a Provencal farmhouse. All this wealth of that place is offered in the peace of the countryside, near a small town (Valréas) in the south France, historical with nice old houses, ancient towers, and castle, with all the amenities of nowadays, Provence street markets, including also several supermarkets and a hypermarket providing everything needed daily, open on Sundays during the season. Several shops, farmers and organic farms in Valréas.
