About this listing
Apartamento con encanto recien reformado muy luminoso y con excelente conexión wifi. Amplio salón comedor con cocina integrada, 2 dormitorios, baño con ducha de obra, terraza y patio trasero. Barrio tranquilo y en el casco histórico
A charming 2 bedroom apartment in the centre of Tarifa´s historic old town, recently completely renovated and decorated comfortably in a Moroccan influenced style with an excellent internet connection.
The spacious and bright open plan living space has a well equipped fitted kitchen, a dining table and living area - a perfect place to chill out after a hard day at the beach! Beautifully maintained, a light restful space that is a perfect home from home!
There are 2 airy bedrooms – the master has a double bed and opens onto the back patio which adjoins Tarifa´s ancient city wall. The second bedroom has two single beds. The bathroom is spacious with a big wet-room style shower. At the entrance there is a small sun terrace - with a table and chairs - where you can sit and soak up the laid back Andalusian atmosphere as the locals go about their daily lives.
As the apartment is located at the edge of the old town it is easily accessible by car, even in the height of summer, when all the roads in the old town are closed to traffic. You can unload your car at the front door – a big plus for wind or kite enthusiasts and families with children – easier to bring all the equipment to and from the beach! This part of the old town is called ´la Barriada de Antonio Ordoñez´, a typical barrio in the highest part of Tarifa´s old town, beside the ancient city wall. You are only metres from the ´Miradaor del Estrecho´ – the scenic viewpoint where you will not be disappointed by the spectacular views of continental Africa only 14km away across the Strait of Gibraltar. A central location means you don´t need a car. Beaches, restaurants, bars and shops etc., are all a short stroll away - allowing you to fully appreciate the hypnotic rhythm of life in Tarifa - by day and night!
Walk just 5 minutes and you have a choice of breathtaking white sandy beaches near Tarifa´s Isla de las Palomas - the southern most tip of continental Europe - on one side you can see the Mediterranean and on the other the Atlantic. If you are visiting Tarifa to Windsurf or Kite Surf you need to travel 7 or 8 km out of town to Valdevaqueros and Punta Paloma.
Tarifa´s port is a few minutes away where you can catch the fast ferry to Tangier – travel time is only 30 minutes. Guided tours depart from the port to Morocco daily. If you don´t feel like going to the beach, only 50 metres from the apartment, are many hiking trails in the ´Parque Natural del Estrecho´ – the Strait of Gibraltar Natural Park – with breath taking views of the shipping lanes in the Strait, the Pillars of Hercules and Morocco, it is a pleasure to explore this undeveloped and virgin coastline.
