Stay in the apartment was very nice, Christian was very nice and accommodating.
Excellent location of the apartment, walking distance from anywhere.
We had a great time in Rome. Christians apartment was just perfect to explore the city.
All the big monuments and sights are in walking distance. The rooms are cosy and clean.
Christian was a very nice host.
I totally recommend his place.
Christian was a very attentive host, communication was prompt and he even organized all airport transfers. The apartment is ideally located in walking distance to most major sightseeing sites in Rome (e.g. Pantheon, Forum, Colosseum, Vatican). As previous reviewers already described, the central location at Corso Vittorio Emanuele II comes with a certain amount of traffic noise for those rooms facing the street. The apartment itself is very spacious and well maintained. One small problem we encountered was a sometimes somewhat unreliable wifi connection, but that seems to be a frequent phenomenon in Rome. Otherwise we were very satisfied with the accommodation and would be more than willing to rent it again.
Huge apartment. Wonderful location! Air con was a bonus as it was super hot. Very noisy road if you are in the bedroom near the front of the flat. Supermarket across the road and a nice square to have dinner in only a 5 minute walk away. We walked to all the major tourist attractions easily.
The apartment was just what we were looking for: Surprisingly spacious, well equipped and conveniently located. It's a reasonable walk to the Vatican and sits along several bus routes. More importantly, the best gelato (Frigidarium) and pizza (Bafetta) in Rome are only a block away.
Christian is a great host and was very responsive. One toilet wasn't flushing when we arrived and he wasted no time in getting it fixed.
As others have said, there is quite a bit of traffic noise from the street. The front windows are double-glazed and they certainly help (it's much louder when they're open). Our 11-year old still slept very well in the front bedroom. The back bedroom is considerably quieter.
Only negative for us was the wifi was hit-or-miss during the last two days our stay (I think several units share one access point). Sometimes it worked like a charm, other times it was painfully slow - if we could connect at all.
All in all, Christian has a great apartment. If we come back to Rome we'd definitely stay here again.
The apartment was nice, clean, and spacious. It's exactly as advertised. Christian was of great help. Everything is in a walking distance, very close to Campo de Fiori which is great for restaurants. I would recommend this apartment. If you are a light sleeper, note that you can here the traffic pretty loud in the room on the street side. Anyway, we had a great stay. It was my first air BnB experience and it was a good one.
The good: The location is fantastic! Very easy walk to the pantheon, market, bus stop, etc. The apartment itself is cute and looked just like the photos on air bnb. The living area was bright and spacious, and the kitchen was well equipped. No microwave though, so don't plan on reheating your leftovers. There were a few small issues, but overall we loved the apartment.
the bad: The Internet barely works as the wireless router is in another apartment. Be aware that Christian does not turn on the a/c until late June. If your visiting in may or june you might be hot, especially at night because you can't keep the windows open, too much noise from the street. We were provided with a fan though, so it wasn't too bad. It was a little tricky to shower.. One shower head was on a sliding bar but wouldn't stay up so you have to duck down a bit to get under it. The other bathroom has a tub with shower head attachment, but there was no where to mount the shower head. Well actually there is a place to mount it, but the hose doesn't reach!
Overall the apartment was great. I'd definitely recommend it if you want to be in a great location.
Hi Andrea, thank you for your recension - critics are always helpful !
i am still a little bit astonished about your problem with internet and air condition:
a) never had any complaint about internet past guests.
b)average temperature month may is 20-23 degree celsius and NO ONE never asked for A/C use !
ANYWAY VERY EFFICIENT AIR CONDITION SYSTEM IS AVAILABLE FROM MID JUNE-MID SEPTEMBER !
SHOWER PROBLEM HAS BEEN SOLVED WITH BRAND NEW INSTALLATIONS!
besides these small issues i am very glad you had a great time in rome - best regards, christian
Christian was very kind, welcomed us in the apartment at the exact time scheduled and directed us to a great pizzeria right across the street (Montecarlo, do try it). He also helped a lot by arranging for a place to leave our luggage during our last day after checkout and ordering car service from and to to the airport, which was punctual, affordable and much welcomed in a city like Rome.
The location is superb. You literally walk everywhere with no need for public transportation ever. Lots of great restaurants in the neighborhood, had the best pasta at Osteria Da Fortunata not a five minute walk away.
The apartment is noisy though, both the living room and the bedroom facing the street are very loud almost all day, so take that in account. The other, bigger bedroom is very quite. This is really the only downside. Perfect apartment otherwise.
The apartment is very spacious, even the bathrooms! The location is absolutley perfect - you are literally in the heart of Rome. Since it is located a few minute walk from Campo di Fiori, we were afraid we would hear the nightlife in the campo. However, you are far enough away to not hear it at all. The living room is a bit noisy from the street below, but the bedrooms were nice and quiet. The bathtub in the master bedroom was nice, however do not try and shower in it or you'll get the entire bathroom wet! You're better of showering in the hallway bathroom. We felt very relaxed and at home in this apartment and would definately stay here again.
Excellent place to stay, very close to all the best Rome attractions and monuments! Christian was very nice and arranged airport transfer, which was very convenient!
