About this listing
Comfortable queen-sized sofabed in the sitting room in my warm, sunny flat in a quiet cornet of North London, 15 minutes by Tube from the West End and the City. Only five minutes walk from Underground and Overground stations (Zone 2), with good night bus links.
Includes wi-fi, cable TV, towels, sheets, breakfast (with advance notice), plus I'm happy to socialise and help with travel and tourism. Shared bathroom, toilet, kitchen, sitting room. Gay and naturist friendly.
Note that this is a common, shared sitting room - it has a door (not open-plan), but two people live here permanently and need some access.
Archway has long been one of those up-and-coming areas of London, packed with shops and cafes that aren't particularly posh.
But there are some great restaurants (including the gastropub St John Tavern and the Italian 500). And Highgate and Crouch End are just 15 minute walks away.
There are also several nearby parks, including the award-winning Waterlow Park, Highgate Wood and the parkland walk that takes in Muswell Hill, Crouch Hill, Alexandra Palace and Finsbury Park. Hampstead Heath is only a 20 minute walk - to either Parliament Hill or Kenwood House.
Archway (Zone 2 on the Northern Line) and Upper Holloway (Overground) stations are just a 4-minute walk from the flat. And there are frequent 24-hour busses to the West End and the City.
No smoking inside the flat
I enjoyed my stay at Jack's. He was a great host. Friendly and gave me plenty of privacy while using the sofabed in his living room. For my budget the accommodation was adequate, the convenient location just a short walk to Archway tube station and short ride to the city were very good. Overall a good choice.
Jack is a very friendly and interesting guy. That would be enough for me to recommend this listing, but it also happens to be in a good location: just over 5 minutes from Archway on the Northern line and within a 20 minute walk of the Highgate neighbourhood and Hampstead Heath, which offer panoramic views of the city. The flat is clean and nicely decorated.
The only potential negative I can think of is not having independent access to the flat (i.e. a spare key), but that was not an issue on my visit. Jack was accommodating, and didn't mind me returning late one night.
The apartment was literally within a 5 min walk to the tube/bus stops, with very easy and short access to the important spots in London. Jack was a friendly, easy-going, and helpful host. My only downfall was that I didn't get the opportunity to chat up with him more as he seems to be quite interesting! Even though this is a "shared apartment", the hosts pretty much gives you the privacy you need as they are upstairs in their rooms most of the time. Only thing that could be improved upon was the sharing of the key as it could be inconvenient not being able to come in and out whenever you wanted. Other than that, I had a decent stay!
This room has a great (email hidden)osest tube station is Archway (near Holloway road). The flat is clean and comfortable.I give advice to everybody who wants to enjoy time in London to choose this flat.Great thanks to Jack for staying.
Jack is a good host. The flat is tidy and the neighborhood is safe. Most importantly, it's close to my friend's home. Thanks!!!
I had a very brief stay at Jack's but it was a pleasure to briefly get to know him and overall my experience was consistent with the stellar reviews he's garnered from other guests. Definitely recommended.
