First floor condo, overlooking the huge pool in an exclusive holiday resort in St Lucia. One double bedroom, one twin bedroom (can be made into one bed), two baths, fully equipped kitchen. Free wifi internet access.
It is beautifully furnished with marble bathrooms, tasteful furniture and air conditioning. The spa and restaurant are nearby - there is a beach bar too. It's right by the sandy beach, with safe swimming which is used only by resort guests - so nobody selling trinkets!
You can opt for daily housekeeping if you like and all the facilities of the resort are available to guests, including the kids club, fully equipped gym, spa with jacuzzi and massage therapists.
The concierge services are available to book excursions or hire cars, give information about what to see and how to get around the island. There are many excellent restaurants to visit, ask for their recommendations. The resort is also right next to the only 18 hole championship golf course on St Lucia.
Every May there is an International Jazz festival, and every Friday night an unmissable street party - known as the jump-up in local Rodney Bay. You can walk the rainforest trails, go horse-riding on the beach, take a sunset cruise to view the magnificent Piton peaks, visit the Soufriere Volcano and wallow in the natural hot springs and mud baths there. Or you can island hop to nearby Martinique. Swim, dive and snorkel in the crystal clear waters around St Lucia, or just kick back and enjoy the peace and quiet while you sip cocktails at sunset on your own private balcony.
There is shop on site and also a free shuttle service into the nearby town of Rodney Bay twice a week for shopping and sightseeing.
The place is great. It kinda feels like a bit of a scam because you will not get any information about where you are staying till you book. Then you find out that if you booked directly with the hotel ((website hidden)) you can book a room for half the price. Also I tried to get my money back within hours of reserving the room and I couldn't. When I tried to contact the host, the number was for some place in Australia and she was not even there. I was forced to stick to email and that became difficult. I truly enjoyed the stay, I just felt like I got tricked into paying more than I needed to.
But the place is BEAUTIFUL, the pool is amazing, and it right on a beautiful beach. Besides the headache of the actual transaction, it was a good time.
Lance booked one night at my apartment and three days before arrival wanted to
cancel. He refused to pay the airbnb cancellation fee, however. When he found
that he could not avoid the fee, he changed his mind and stayed, after which he
wrote this spiteful and untruthful review.
It is airbnb policy to give out contact details only after a booking request,
it’s not a scam, and I have no power to change that, I’m afraid. Although I told
Lance that I was travelling in Europe and not contactable by phone, he still
tried calling my home in Australia, and found that I was indeed away.
I replied courteously to every one of his 22 emails. He paid for exactly one
night at the agreed rate of $175 US, which is less than half the $430 rate (inc
local tax) on the Cotton Bay Village website for a similar two bedroom
apartment. I also arranged an early check-in time of 9.30am instead of the usual
2pm, at no extra cost to him.
He was not tricked in any way. I am surprised that he did not know about airbnb
booking and cancellation policies, since he is an airbnb host himself. Lashing
out at me will not change their policy!
I am glad that he loved my apartment, the beautiful pool and its gorgeous
surroundings by the beach in St Lucia and that he and his girlfriend had a good
I stayed here for 4 days as part of a tour around st Lucia! It's a great place to be if you are looking for some peace and quiet. In fact the staff at the front desk told me that the international artists who come over to play in the yearly jazz festival often stay here for that very reason. The apartment itself was really nice. Had everything I needed and great that you could step out on the veranda, and take the stairs down to the pool. Also both bedrooms had bathrooms which was a nice surprise. Other perks for me were: access to a good on site gym, the restaurant on site for breakfast on the beachfront and the spa. Would highly recommend!
