The flat was very very cozy and pretty with lot of interesting items, books, posters, souvenirs. My stay was carefree. I would recommend stay here - especially if one stay more than couple of days in Rome
Super Wohnung!
AWESOME FLAT! The Flat was very clean and well-tended! Very nice accommodation! The host Daniele was very friendly and helpful.
I can recommend this apartment to everybody!
Greetings from Berlin,
Danielle was a friendly and timely host. He helped us navigate to his flat and took time during his workday to meet us there when we arrived. All of the amenities were as expected. The bed was very firm with no box spring. One step up from a futon mattress. There were plenty of blankets, so we used them to pad the bed which helped a lot. There are many decor items and trinkets around the apartment, which makes it feel smaller than the picture. But it was nice to have a home to use. He even left some maps and fresh fruit for us. He was very prepared.
The location is a solid, but fairly direct 10-minute walk from the most useful bus stop and 20 minutes from the metro line Conca D'Oro stop (which goes downtown for sightseeing). It's also 20 minutes from the train stop at Nomentana which takes you directly out to the Fiumicino airport. You'll want a 2 or 3 day bus pass so you don't have to worry about transportation (though that does not cover the train to the airport). The train to Fiumicino does not have a ticket machine at the Nomentana stop, so you'll need to buy that in advance (8 euros one way).
The location feels very local and not touristy, which we enjoyed. There is a morning market down the road and a few cafes and shops. I was there with my pregnant wife and we felt safe, but she would not have felt safe in the area if she were alone in the evening.
Danielle was really nice and gave us tickets to the symphony (he gets them from work) so we got to have a high-brow Italian evening. They were fantastic seats for Tchaikovsky! The trek there took about an hour and 2-3 buses, though. We thought it was worth it.
Next time, I'd prefer a location closer to downtown, but this was in our budget and worked really well for feeling local.
Some apartments can be functional and convenient but sterile. Daniele's apartment is functional, convenient and is not sterile. It has a homely feel. It is spotless. It is perfect for a couple. An absolute pleasure to return to after a day of sightseeing. The street is so quiet you can have a sound sleep.Public transport is less than ten minutes away. The metro is a leisurely 20 mins away. Both buses and metro are frequent. Easy to find a carpark and close to the circular road that surrounds Rome to drive to other areas. Perfect host and perfect place. All amenities are close by including a daily market.
nice and cosy apartment, you realy feel at home there. Daniele s very nice, charming and helpful. It takes a while to get there by public transport but you get a quiet place to relax from crowded Rome. Recommended.
