Victor helped us to arrive to the apartment and had someone waiting to welcome us in the apartment. the apartment was clean but very cold. with only one heating system in the living room, the main room was cold. While this apartment is ideal in the summer, it needs a bit more heating for the winter.
Superb location- a stones throw from the river! Apartment is spacious & extremely well set up for guests. Loved it!
I don't like writing negative reviews, but there are a few things I would like to say about this flat. I know it's very cheap, but I think some basic things should be granted anyway. We knew the flat was on the 4th floor with no lift only because we had read the other reviews. Same for the fact that you have to go through the shower to enter the bathroom (please be aware that it's a very narrow "way" through it). In a few words, the bathroom is falling apart. I'm sorry guests can't upload pictures to show what the flat really looks like. 4/5 lightbulbs did not work, so we changed one with one from the kitchen (which had only 2/4 working bulbs). The bathroom has no window and the door didn't close properly. Maria is a very nice person, but she isn't a great cleaner. We found a few hairs and spiders in the shower, but that's not the issue. The bathroom is full of mould in the corners, a few tiles in the shower came off and we risked cutting our feet. The shower holder is broken, so you had to use the other devices to have a shower. The roof is extremely low and if you look up from the shower you will see a deep crack all around the shower, with mould in it. The grids in the shower are rusty and, as neither the kitchen nor the bathroom have a window, you can guess what kind of smell is all over the place. Great location and very kind host, the bedroom is small but comfy, the kitchen is in the corridor, but it's very well equipped, although the dish washer didn't work and everything smells of mould as there's no window. Besides, be aware that you hear everything which happens in the nextdoor flat, which is actually above this one. When it rains, from the bedroom it's as if someone was hammering something just outside the window. Keep that in mind if you have a light sleep. We found hairs in the living room and so Maria cleaned the floor a bit better. This flat could definetely be a little jem in the city-centre, but I think it needs some serious refurbishment. Also, we think Victor should write a few more details about the flat in its description. Wouldn't book this flat again unless Victor made some improvement in it. Maybe for one or two nights it would be OK, but we spent 7 nights there and it wasn't very easy.
