Welcome to Hydrogen House, the first inhabited solar-hydrogen powered residence in North America! This energy-efficient, eco-friendly home is truly one-of-a-kind. Located on 12 secluded acres, this unique property offers all of the comfort and conveniences of a modern home with no carbon footprint. Guests will have the opportunity to meet world renowned inventor Michael Strizki, take a guided tour of the system and may even get the chance to take a ride in his hydrogen fuel cell car!

The space
Imagine your stay in a house with zero emissions... all of the major appliances have been converted to run on hydrogen, producing only heat and pure water as by-products. The home is also heated and cooled by a geothermal system.

The kitchen/dining/living area has a spacious, open floor plan with fireplace. A second living room has French doors for privacy. Four generous-sized bedrooms and 2.5 baths offer plenty of space for large groups. Guests can relax in the hydrogen heated hot-tub and swimming pool, or barbecue on the oversized deck.

Ample parking, no garage, EV charging station on premises.

The Hydrogen House sits at the highest point of the Sourland Mountains, New Jersey's second largest contiguous forest. The area is steeped in local history and natural beauty. Enjoy miles of scenic hiking and biking trails. Explore nearby Princeton, the state capitol of Trenton, or charming New Hope, PA. The location is also convenient for day trips to Philadelphia, New York City and the beautiful beaches of the Jersey Shore.

Guests should be advised that this property is a working laboratory, workshop and non-profit organization... while every effort will be made to respect guest privacy, there may occasionally be staff members working on-site.

I have been working with hydrogen fuel cell technology for over 30 years. In 2006, I converted my entire home to run on a solar-hydrogen powered system, the first of its kind in North America. My home has continuously operated off-grid for 17 years with zero emissions. I founded the Hydrogen House Project, a 501(c)(3) to promote hydrogen technology through education, public outreach and research and development. I look forward to sharing my unique, energy efficient, eco-friendly home with you. I am available for guided tours and to answer any questions you have about hydrogen during your stay. I believe that hydrogen is the future of energy production, and have dedicated my life to advancing this technology.
