Brand new studio apartment with private entrance over a detached barn style garage. Situated between our lavender field and view of Potomac River in historic Harper’s Ferry. Walking distance to lower town Harper’s Ferry and Harpers Ferry Historic National Park.

The space
Brand new French country style open concept space (with private bathroom), soaring ceiling and spectacular views all around. Hardwood floors, marble bathroom. Queen size bed, sofa, smart tv, electric fireplace, dining area and full kitchen all in one light filled space with beautiful views from all four sides!

Guest access
Entire apartment with private entrance. Completely detached from main house. Shared use of fire pit overlooking the river (watch the sunset over the mountains!), outdoor dining gazebo (bring a picnic!) and grounds of lavender farm (the scent is wonderful!)

Other things to note
We have plenty of parking on our property (it is very scarce in this historic town!) You can leave your car here and walk to local restaurants, the park museums and shops, or go hiking or cycling. Electric bike rentals are available. There are hills and a few uneven sidewalks.

Location

Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, United States

We are on 1 1/2 riverfront acres within the limits of the historic town of Harpers Ferry. It is exactly a one mile walk to the convergence of the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers, as well as the Appalachian Trail! (The distance listed below is incorrect.) You do not need a car to go to wonderful local restaurants and coffee shops. There is plenty Civil War history here and lots to see and learn at the Harpers Ferry National Historical Park. We have three different rafting companies in town, and two rivers to raft, or just float on inner tubes! The Appalachian Trail Conservancy is just down the street, and the trail comes right through town. If you are into something a little more relaxed, we are surrounded by many local wineries and breweries just a short distance away!

I moved to Harpers Ferry five years ago, together with my partner, Juan. We are both professional artists. We fell in love with our 1 1/2 acre property right in the heart of historic Harper’s Ferry and wanted to do something with the land besides building houses on it, so we started our lavender farm two years ago. We really love hiking, biking on the towpath, and walking in town. I am working on creating plein aire painting groups, and of course, growing lavender! When Covid 19 hit, we changed our focus from art shows to hosting on our small lavender farm. It has been such a success and pleasure, that we are in the process of opening another 4 suite AirB&B a couple of blocks away! We have a special cat named Romeo, but he does not go into the barn studio space. We have also added two puppies to our fold, Busta and Blu, but again, you will see them outside, not in the barn!
