Hi guys Gaby here: to get a feel how close we are, look at the video (website hidden). com/watch?v=qVzgLcDjWzY
Please don't be put off by this listing being outside of Manhattan. We are closer to Midtown Manhattan, Times Square, Theater District, Madison Square Garden, Grand Central Empire State Building, Saint Patrick's Cathedral, and Rockefeller Center than staying in other parts of Manhattan (Wall St., Upper East or West Side, above 70s... We are closer than all parts of Brooklyn and definitely way closer than staying in Queens/Bronx).
About your accommodations:

If you need them or request them, they will be right there for your assistance. your privacy and accommodation will be our responsibility and our pleasure.
About the neighborhood:
The neighborhood is quiet and very nice, 100 steps from a family grocery to buy what you need. Walking distance to banks, pharmacy, and 15 minutes from midtown Manhattan (Time Square/Port Authority Bus Terminals). You'll reach Midtown faster from this location than from locations even located in Manhattan.
you need while away from home maps discount tickets to your favorite plays to get you going a large stainless steal refrigerator, microwave, toaster, two coffee makers

ABOUT THE NEIGHBORHOOD:
* Located in Union City, NJ, a very short direct bus ride to Times Square area

* Great grocery and wine/liquor stores in the neighborhood including one right on the corner which is open until 11pm

Amazing location. Very easy to get to manhattan. Instruction were on the fridge.
Gaby was very kind to answer any question.
Everything went smoothly. The beds were very comfy and clean. One sad note, the floor was a bit sticky, and shower not so great. So just bring flip flops in your luggage and you will be fine;-)
A place to return.
Thank you Gaby.
Gaby was very sweet and helpful!
they provided you with a great instructions to get there..
If you are willing to make the trip to union city ( 20 ish mins from port authority ) it is an amazing place to stay.
Things to note - it is an actual guesthouse so except to run into others also renting rooms! there is only one bathroom !
Great place to stay - Gaby and Robert were great and helpful when needed and also flexible. Highly recommend this place. The chicken bus was great particularly after peak hour times and it does take 10 mins to walk to it but there is always a bus just pulling up and opening the door for you.. Had a great 7 nights here
Really great location; just minutes from Midtown. Keep in mind the Lincoln Tunnel toll is $13 for each visit into NYC. As others have said, the wifi info posted on the fridge is incorrect and not working. Was hoping to get some work done during my visit but couldn't. The house interior is clean with modern renovations.
Parking was extremely difficult. We checked in at about 11pm on a Friday and had to park quite a distance away. Be prepared to walk! Would be great to see the parking pass deposit added as deposit for the room via airbnb. Was not able to meet up with Gaby, therefore I had to risk not displaying a parking pass.
Great location. Great price. Would definately stay again if the wifi was working! That's a dealbreaker for me when travelling for work. Other than that, thank you so much Gaby for your hospitality we enjoyed our stay!
Everything was fine. We had a good time there. If you find out how you can move to new york, than it is very simple. See you next time when I am back in the city! :)
It was easy to find and Gaby gave us free parking on the street for the whole week. For this, a 50 dollar deposit is needed which is returned to you at the end. The place is close to Manhattan, approx 20 mins with buss. The room was clean but we felt it was a little bit small. There were no furnitures to put clothes or hang up shirts. This we lacked a lot. There is a very nice kitchen and the bathroom and the livingroom is shared with other guests. The are has close by restaurants, super markets and shopps.
