SOME TOURIST INFORMATION:

La Carrera del Darro and the Paseo de los Tristes is for many one of the world's most beautiful streets.

Its official name is Carrera del Darro until it opens a wide avenue overlooking the Alhambra, here his name is Father Manjón, but popularly known as the Paseo de los Tristes for being the place where the funeral procession passed in way to the cemetery since the beginning of the century until the rise to the cemetery (behind the Alhambra), was done by the Cuesta de los Chinos, which begins at the end of the ride, so all the funeral procession passed by this place.

This walk runs parallel to the river Darro, formerly Dauro (Latin Aurus = gold) because people have used to wash gold in their orillas.En past this river was crossed by numerous bridges, of which the bridge connecting the Cadi the Alhambra with the Albayzín. Another of them leads to the source of Hazel is Aljibillo Bridge, still standing.

The Bridges of Cabrera and Espinosa are still preserved in good condition and allow us to contemplate across this beautiful ride from another perspective

Walking the street is a festival for the senses as the traveler accompanying the beautiful views of their churches (San Pedro), convents where the nuns sell candy, Arab baths, the smell of incense and spices, bright colors from the picturesque craft shops, bars and restaurants. You can always stop and listen to musicians who give their show on the street, under the imperturbable gaze of the mysterious Red Castle, the Alhambra

  • Good apartment with amazing view on the Alhambra. Noisy street!
Communication was not bad, but could be better.

  • Everything went very smooth - communication with Blanca was great from the first moment. We spent 2 nights in Granada at this apartment and had a great time (top location, very comfortable, warm shower, heating(in March it was still chilly in the evening)) I would highly recommend it.

  • My wife and I stayed at Blanca's beautiful apartment in mid March 2014. The pictures don't lie one bit -- the views and the location are spectacular. The Alhambra is just outside your back window, with a lovely little stream, too. Across the street, you can easily ascend the hill of Albaicín for even more fantastic views of Alhambra and the city of Granada. You can easily walk to the city center in <10 minutes for great dining, tapas bars, etc. Should we return to Granada (and we definitely hope to!), we would definitely stay with Blanca again!

  • Best view of our entire trip (from the apartment). Great access to Alhambra and the nightlife. Taxi driver needed a little belp getting to address in the monument district where apartment was located. Missed having wifi.

  • We had a really nice time in Alhambra, and staying at this apartment by far our best choice. The host was kind and responsive all the times. The apartment was clean and new, in a very nice street and neighbourhood. Highly recommend.

  • Amazing apartment in the center of the old town, with the best view you could wish for. Will certainly go back. Parking was a little pricier than expected - I'd recommend parking at the bus station for free and getting a 5 or 6 euro cab each way.

  • Just finished our trip to Granada. The apartment was very nice. It's location is about as good as you could ask for, and the view of the Alhambra is fantastic! The apartment is nice and spacious as well, which is always a plus. The only thing that was a little bit difficult was manouvering in the shower, but apart from that everything was awesome. Cheers for the stay Blanca!

  • Although we did not get to meet Blanca during our stay at Granada we did not have an trouble checking in. Blanca was in communication with us the whole time thru email and had Mary meet us in front to get the keys and check in. The place was clean and had heating in every room. We really enjoyed our stay and the place is on a great area looking up at the Alhambra. However the shower was a big awkward because there was no holder for the handheld shower and the shower curtain was a tad too short for the shower itself causing water to spill on the floor. Overall I enjoyed Blanca's place it was spacious and very relaxing. There is a great tea place across the street and a market downstairs. Thank you Blanca for letting us stay!
