Jonny's apartment was very clean and beautiful. It is well located as it's close to Summertown. Jonny also responded very promptly.
As with many online bookings, we never actually met our host but telephone/e-mail/text communication was fine and helpful.
Flat was as described, fair value and very well equipped.
well located for our needs with good parking and security.
The apartment was as described. It is well located, bright and tastefully furnished and decorated. Jonny was not around but his directions and instructions were compete and clear. This is a great way to enjoy what Oxford has to offer.
The flat was exactly as described with a very well stocked kitchen and a real feel of 'home away from home'. Directions to get to the flat were excellent and Jonny was very helpful answering additional questions before our stay. 'Check in' was very smooth and we appreciated the bread etc. Being able to 'boost' the heating was a real advantage on a chilly day.
It was fantastic to be so near Oxford and have a designated parking space!
A wonderful break, thanks
Jonny's place was great. Just as the pictures show it - bright and spacious especially for Oxford. Really comfortable and very well equipped. Didnt meet Jonny but he was very punctual in correspondence and instructions on gaining access and everything in the flat was spot on. I probably shouldn't rave too much as i want to stay here again ......
This was our second stay with Jonny. Having enjoyed Oxford so much on the first part of our trip, we decided to return to explore further.
It made sense, therefore, to stay at Jonny's.
The apartment is conveniently located near central Oxford as well as a short bus trip to the postcard town of Woodstock and Blenheim Palace.
As stated previously, the apartment has everything you need and Jonny gives very clear instructions on how to use the appliances, heating etc. He is also very generous, both with some breakfast items as well as suggestions for places to visit. Communication is also very good.
Just book it!
Though we never actually met Jonny, we felt very welcomed the moment we entered his wonderful apartment.
The apartment itself was exactly as described -modern, light and airy- but without the sterile feeling of a hotel room. The furnishings are all very comfortable. The huge floor to ceiling windows in the loungeroom allowed the apartment to remain bright on even gloomy days. The kitchen is perfectly appointed with everything you could need. The bathroom was very clean and the shower was excellent.
Oxford town centre is a short trip on the S3 bus which departs around the corner. On a good day, in comfortable shoes, you could walk all the way in to town. Jonny also provided numbers for taxi services.
The apartment is very, very secure. The double glazing on all the windows ensure any traffic noise is silenced and it takes only minimal heating to stay comfortable.
Communication with Jonny was also exemplary. He also left very clear information about how to use the heating, dishwasher etc. There was also lots of information about things to do in Oxford.
In short, Jonny thought of everything. We both thouroughly enjoyed our visit.
Hello there. I am an inveterate traveller and since I am a teacher of history in Oxford, UK, I am fortunate enough to have the time to wander around the world visiting galleries, museums and assorted places! I enjoy hill walking, mountain biking and play hockey in my spare time. Having stayed in many soulless hotels over the years I am now a big fan of Airbnb.
If you are a visitor to Oxford and would like advice about places to see in the city or in the surrounding countryside and suggestions about where to eat and drink, I'll be more than happy to give some pointers and insights! Please just ask me.
