Guests keep coming back. Multiple reviewers mention this is their second, third, or fourth stay.
We constructed this shelter to protect guests from bitter cold North winds and shade for the summer heat. The shelter is large enough for a tent, or use it for a kitchen dining area, or both if you have a small tent.
We have 2 other campsites, an RV spot, an Airstream Argosy trailer, a Ruin and an Eco house as well. Please no paper down any of the toilets on the compound (there are bidets in both full bathrooms to use).

The space
This is a two sided structure, 2 walls and a roof. It is faced so that there is protection from the North winds (cold in the winter), and the blazing hot West summer sun. Some people pitch their tents outside of the shelter in the summer for the breezes, and use the shade for living area (relaxing & eating).

Neighborhood highlights

We are located in the Ghost Town, we are located in town and you may walk to everything the town has to offer. The Boathouse (full bar) is located next door, you can stop for a drink before moseying on to the Starlight Theatre, Barbeque place, Taco Milagro, or El Dorado. For breakfast you may walk to the Posada Milagro, they also have expresso drinks as well.

Joe and I are retired photographers who have lived and played in the Terlingua area for over 25 years, there is so much to do, we have not even scratched the surface....we are constantly finding new adventures. We are close to Mexico, which is so fun, the Rio Grand for float trips, and to some of the most pristine mountain biking and hiking trails anywhere.
