Welcome to Sojourn Chalet, hosted by Sojourn STR, a design-forward A-frame cabin set on a private, one-acre wooded lot in the sought-after Towamensing Trails community. This is your romantic escape into the woods—a place to reconnect, reset, and retreat in style. With the vibe of your favorite boutique hotel, this isn't just a stay it's a mood.
Step into 1,800 square feet of sun-soaked style and serenity. The living room features soaring ceilings and a cozy wood-burning fireplace perfect for wine-and-firelight nights. Gather around to stream your favorites on the smart TV or simply enjoy the quiet. Guest access
Guests will have private access to the entire 1,800 sq ft chalet and the one-acre property. Check-in is simple and contactless with a smartlock. The private driveway has space for up to four vehicles.
As our guest, you also have exclusive access to the Towamensing Trails community amenities, which include:
-A private lake with a sandy beach (open Memorial Day to Labor Day)
-An outdoor swimming pool
-Restaurant and bar
-Paddle boat rentals (small fee applies)
-Tennis, pickleball, basketball, and volleyball courts
-Children's playground and walking trails
Important: To use these facilities, you must register with the Homeowners Association (HOA) at least 2 business day prior to your arrival (we do make exceptions so please inquire) . We will provide instructions after you book. Smartlock allows for contactless check-in.
Private driveway accommodates 4 cars.
Please note, at times due to bacteria in the water, the lakes may me closed for swimming*** - no refund will be given due to unforeseen lake closure.
No speeding in the community. All tickets and citations will be passed onto the guests.
The fire pit and outdoor seating may not be accessible in the winter.
Other things to note
Note:
Guests are not permitted on the property without an adult who is 25 years or older. The booking guest must be 25 years or older and remain on the property for the entire duration of the reservation.
Trash Disposal: Guests are required to dispose of their trash at the community dumpster, located about a 7-minute drive from the house. Failure to do so will result in a $30 fee deducted from your security deposit. Use tags provided in the rental packet to display on the windshield.
Hot Tub Water: Our property uses well water with a high iron content. The chemicals used to balance the hot tub may cause the water to take on a temporary orange or green tinge. This is normal and safe. Please do not empty the hot tub or leave it uncovered.
Community Amenities: The community pool and beach are open seasonally, typically from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, with hours from 11 AM to 6 PM. All community amenity dates and availability are managed by the HOA and can change without notice. No refunds can be issued for unforeseen closures.
Firewood: Firewood for the indoor wood-burning stove is not provided. For your convenience, you may purchase a firewood bundle as an add-on service.

Romance Experience: Includes wine, a small cake, rose petals, candles, a flower arrangement, and chocolates.

Late check outs without our approval will be subject to a penalty of $100
PET RULES (dogs only)
1. The dog cannot be left unattended outside or inside of the house.
2. Please do not allow your pet on furniture, such as armchairs, sofa, or beds.
3. Please pick up and dispose of waste from the yard.
4. There will be a pet fee of $150 per pet per stay maximum ONE pet.
A Note About Our Woodland Setting
We are tucked away in the beautiful Pocono woods, and nature occasionally likes to visit! Our home is professionally treated for pests and thoroughly cleaned between stays, but spiders, webs, ants, and the occasional insect can appear quickly. It is all part of staying surrounded by nature!
