Kate's house is really a lovely place, in the green countryside and close to many hotspots (Atlantic wild way, cliffs of Moher, Burren NP, Galway, Connemara…). We did spend a very good time there and Kate was one of the best host we ever had before. We warmly recommend this place!

Kate is a warm, friendly & chatty host. She welcomed us with yummy home cooked pasta and guided us with a list of nearby attractions to visit. Kate's cottage is a historical chalet passed on from generations with parts of it renovated with modern decor. The cottage is surrounded by green fields with lovely weather. Kate is a nature conservationist and hence is environmental friendly about a few things like - conserve water, electricity & minimise waste. We enjoyed our stay at Kate's cottage. Kate was very kind to offer us another room to accommodate although we did not use it. Thanks for a memorable holiday :)

Kate's home is in the most beautiful, peaceful, bucolic setting, with fantastic views, fresh air and the utmost tranquility. It is in a fabulous location for getting to myriad places that we wanted to discover, such as hikes, fishing villages, cafes and restaurants. Kate's home is supremely comfortable and elegant. The guest suite is very spacious and private. Kate welcomed us with fresh bread and jam and a roaring fire. Then she invited us to join her at a local ceildh that was taking place down the road. It was the highlight of our trip to Ireland. She is a fountain of knowledge about the country and its culture. And she is incredibly generous about sharing this passion with her guests. Most highly recommended for a one-of-a-kind experience. We will definitely try to return to spend more time here.

Enjoyed Kate's thoughtful hospitality in her beautifully maintained chalet, in magical surroundings; was granted a glimpse of "Vanishing Ireland", grateful that it is still being preserved in Kate's kindness.

Kate User ProfileKate is a superhost.

Hello my name is Kate . I live in a lovely rural slightly inland countryside area midway between Ardrahan
and the small coastal harbour town of Kinvara. I am currently employed in financial services. I have a keen interest in local and national history , irish music song dance and sport. I enjoy a country lifestyle and spend any spare time in the garden. I have great pride in my country all things Irish and a special love of my native area. Combining the country living with a city job you could say it's like ' having the best of both worlds '
