  • While the room was pretty tiny, it was clean and comfortable. I liked the fact that the house was abuzz with people, dogs and visiting cats, while still being very quiet for the 2 nights I was there. The neighbourhood had a slightly sketchy feel to it (I wasn’t anxious to go out by myself after dark), but I didn’t have any problems, either, and loved that it was a short walk to all the main parts of the city. Laura and Chris were very easy-going and accommodating. Thank you!

  • I had a nice little room, very convenient in downtown Halifax. Didn't get a chance to interact a lot with Laura because I arrived late, but she seemed very nice.

  • Very friendly couple and roommate. Dogs are super cute and gentle. Gave good recommendations for places to eat and check out.

  • A really nice group of people are here to greet you. Adorable dogs. The room was very small, but good for one or maybe two to lay their head. The bed was comfortable and the sheets clean. To be honest the floors could use a scrub as the dogs shed and track in grime. But overall, I had a very nice short stay.

  • Laura and Co. were very flexible and relaxed hosts. The guest room was small but clean and had a nice view out to the back yard. Their building is well located, and their dogs are lovely.

  • Hi,
Laura's place is in historic Halifax, close to downtown, easy accessible if you want to be in Halifax. A bit noisy at night, but that's downtown. Laura is kind and easy going, so the stay was enjoyable even for one night. I loved the dogs and the big kitchen. Thanks for making it a smooth stay.:)

  • Great location in old Halifax for the casual tourist. Close to city centre as well as microbrewery, local food shops and restaurants. Laura was good communicator and welcoming. Not the typical bnb for those expecting squeaky clean, magazine style shabby chic. Instead, we had a truly home experience along with some of the kitchen clutter, dust bunnies and dog hair that reflect day to day reality of busy young professionals lives.
