ABOUT THE APARTMENT:
Enjoy my whole private, clean, one-bedroom studio duplex in the connecting neighborhoods of the hip family orientated Park Slope, and the vibrant Gowanus Brooklyn. Upstairs has custom-made, full size Murphy bed, full bathroom, and kitchen with everything you need to cook. Downstairs has full, comfortable futon bed, 32" Samsung flat screen with Verizon Fios basic channels, Showtime and HBO. Wifi internet throughout. Because of stairs between sleeping/tv area and kitchen and bathroom, I would not recommend for someone with ambulatory issues.
Amenities include: coffee maker with coffee and assorted teas, toaster, blender, clean linen, sheets and towels.
Steps to F, G, R, and late night D train. 15 minutes to Manhattan or take F to the legendary Coney Island and get there in 25 minutes. Taxi service half block away.
Walk and shop at the new Whole Foods on 3rd ave and 3rd st. And check out the new restaurant row on 3rd ave. The hip 5th Avenue and famous 7th Ave. are right up the street with tons of great restaurants, shops, and cafes. Enjoy Sundays Farmers Market on 5th ave and 5th st. BAM (Brooklyn Academy of Music) Music venues, Barclay Stadium, beautiful Prospect Park, Brooklyn Museum and Library, Botanic Garden, and many other real cool things that Brooklyn has to offer are within walking distance.
Natural Home magazine named Park Slope one of America's ten best neighborhoods based on criteria including parks, green spaces and neighborhood gathering spaces; farmer’s markets and community gardens; public transportation and locally-owned businesses; and environmental and social policy. I invite you to come check it out and enjoy my place. Of course please feel free to contact me with any questions.
Hey hows it going? here are some house rules that I would need you to follow.
No smoking or pets inside, no parties or friends sleeping over, no use or storage of illegal drugs. Your welcome to use reasonable usage of my spices, oils and condiments, but please make sure to completely clean up after preparing and consuming your meals. Also please make sure to dry any water drops that have fallen on the floor from around the sink area with a dry paper towel. My fire alarm could be sensitive if there is a lot of cooking. Please keep entry way to front door clean. My neighbors are super cool and I would want them to know that whoever is renting my place is very respectful to them as well as to the condo building. Also, please make sure the apartment is left nice and tidy. For your convenience there is a laundry basket in the bathroom for you to put the soiled linens and towels in before your departure. Please note that check out time is 11:00 am. If your stay is extended without letting me know, there will be money taking out of your security deposit.
Thank you very much, and just enjoy.
Love this part of brooklyn and I was happy to find a place to stay close to where I wanted to be at the last minute! The description was accurate and I appreciated Joe's cleanliness and hospitality.
Joe was very reliable and keep open the contact and answer questions. The apartment is nicely furnished and the beds were comfortable. You can live there good with 3 people. We were traveling with our 15 year old daughter and it was nice that the apartment had two floors. The area around the 4th Av / 8th Str. Is very exciting. Transportation connection and supply options are good. We felt very comfortable and would do it again.
Joe made it very easy to get into the condo. The neighborhood was clean and safe. The apartment was small but it had everything we needed and was neat and clean. It was perfect for our family of 3. It was close to a son's apt so it made our visit easy. It was 1 block from the subway. Thank you Joe for helping us feel at home in Brooklyn.
Joe's place is perfect. Nicely situated (2min to train station in beautiful Brooklyn), very clean and comfortable. His house make you feel like home, we were 2 people and we both recommend Joe's apartment!
Joe was a great host, always quick to reply. The apt itself is in a good location, close to the subway and all that Park Slope has to offer. It's an older building but perfectly functional and as clean as can be expected. Having the 2nd bed upstairs was definitely nice. Although neither bed was particularly comfortable they did the trick. Besides location, the other great part about this apt is that it was very well stocked with anything you may need - extra paper towels, toilet paper, plenty of towels, etc. Just make sure to leave the apt exactly as you found it. Being unaware of this part of his check-out policy (the link to his "house rules" wasn't working, but my own fault for not pursuing further) we left unwashed towels and linens and were charged an extra $20. Overall good stay though. Thanks, Joe.
Joe was a very kind and communicative host, and the apartment was clean and comfortable. Right next to the F/G/R trains. Short walk to 5th ave shops, moderate walk to Prospect Park.
Stayed at Joes place 4 nights on a recent trip to NYC. Location was great, depending on what you're doing in NYC. Park Slope is a cool neighborhood, lots of great food and bars. The apartment is very close to the train. Apartment was clean and spacious, with good security, although the neighborhood seemed very friendly and safe. For the price, I would recommend this spot to anyone wanting to stay in Brooklyn.
Hi my name is Joe, and I am a musician and photographer who loves Brooklyn. Brooklyn is great with its beauty, the historic neighborhood where my place is located. And the sweet music scene where I could walk to many venues and play music or watch great music. I also love food and in my neighborhood there are many, many great places to choose from within walking distance.
I do travel a lot but want to let whoever is interested in renting my place know how special it is to me and hope they enjoy it as much as I do.
