Check In
  • Dianne had an amazingly cozy home in a perfect location for visiting the main waterfront areas of Sausalito, located far up on a hill that offered incredible views of the bay, which could be seen from many windows and a large deck that was particularly nice. Dianne gave us our privacy, but provided yummy treats for breakfast (pumpkin souffle) and was very generous to share her wine. A great stay with a very accommodating host.

  • I had a lovely time at Dianne's house, high up on the hill with lovely views over Sausalito Bay. The house and my room was full of quaint charm and character. Thank you:)

  • Dianne was very hospitable. I felt really at home and cozy, which allowed me to have a relaxing weekend-my ultimate goal for my birthday weekend. The difference between staying in this charming chalet and staying at a hotel is that Dianne's place has personality (and don't forget the quietness of the neighborhood and the view of Richardson Bay). It’s like staying at a friend’s home. I appreciated the little things from the fresh blossoms in the bathroom to providing the option to have my meals at the residence (meaning Dianne provided breakfast food, and I had the option to cook my other meals there if I wanted to stay in), and to making my birthday very special. Tip: If you are local and want the full experience of a holiday, park for free at any BART station starting Friday @ 3pm, get off at the Embarcadero station, take the 30-min Sausalito ferry from the Ferry Building, and walk up to Dianne’s chalet for another 30-40 minutes.

Dianne, cheers to life transitions and may I visit you one day for sailing lessons in Lake Como!

  • I would say our stay has just been a continuous pleasure, from our bbq party on the deck overlooking the Sausalito bay at night till our tour on her boat in the bay under a warm sun and with a charming feminine crew...
Dianne is just the perfect host to talk and enjoy a glass of wine! Thanks again for your hospitality

  • Thank you Dianne
It was short and sweet but I will be back
We managed to pack so much in and have great conversations as well
I really enjoyed our sail in the morning
it really was the highlight of my stop off
The Redwood forest were also worth the detour as was the great Mexican food and the fabulous wine
I would recommend having a stay here and definitely go for a sail the water is what makes this a really magical place.

Hi everyone! My name is Dianne and I love living in Sausalito. I enjoy everything about the outdoors; sailing, kayaking, rowing, hiking, gardening, biking, you name it. Also love playing dominoes and backgammon. As a native San Franciscan, I've enjoyed every moment of living here. Traveling the world is my passion, with Italy at the top of the list. Lago di Como and Villa D'este have a special place in my heart! I love teaching women how to sail,(so they feel competent and confident) and now teach couples, families, corporate bonding on my sailboat. I have sailed the Caribbean, Hawaii, Greek Isles, San Francisco Bay, the South Pacific. I also take children out sailing who have cancer, and their families for simply a fun day, to enjoy, and get away from it all! I graduated from UC Berkeley, and have affiliations with Marin Rowing, University of Washington,( especially the crew team) and with the University of Oregon and USC. Send me a message with any questions you have, and I look forward to hosting you at my Sausalito home. Ciao!
