Our comfy, quiet Enfield Cabin is just a few minutes from Interstate 95, so it's perfect for an overnight stay on your trip traveling between the New York or Boston area and Florida. Don’t push yourself and fall asleep at the wheel, spend the night in our newly renovated and spotless place. We're also located about an hour from Raleigh and Wake county area; just close enough to enjoy the amenities of the capital city with the quiet and charm of a small town.

The space
The Cabin was extensively renovated in early 2020 with finishes in keeping with the trends and availability of materials for the time period. It is tastefully decorated to reflect the history of this quiet rural town, which was founded in 1740.

This spacious suite has two bedrooms, one full bath, and accommodates four guests. There's plenty of room in the family room to rest and watch TV or maybe you'd like to sit on the porch while you relax. The kitchen has refrigerator, electric stove, microwave oven, and dishwasher long with basic dishes, cookware, and flatware; perfect for preparing a quiet meal or enjoying take out. Should you need to wash up a few or a lot of clothes, there are laundry facilities in the suite as well as free WiFi internet access and smart TVs.

So, whether you can stay for a night, a weekend, or longer, we hope you will have the chance to relax and enjoy the charm of the area. There are outdoor getaways at Medoc Mountain State Park where you can hike the over 10 miles of trails or do some bird watching at Sylvan Heights Bird Park. You can enjoy a great meal at The Hen and the Hog, an excellent farm to table restaurant.

Where you’ll be

Enfield, North Carolina, United States

Enfield has a rich history, dating back to the Revolutionary War. Take a walking tour and visit the Cellars, the former home of Gov. John Branch – even the Marquis de Lafayette visited The Cellars on February 28, 1825, during his grand tour of America (the home is just a block away). It is also just a 20-minute, scenic car ride along Thirteen Bridges Road to Sylvan Heights Bird Park, which has the largest collection of exotic and rare waterfowl in the world. Make sure to visit the bird park’s Parakeet Exhibit where you can feed hundreds of colorful birds as they eat from your hand. Want more exercise? Kayak on Fishing Creek or hike among the rolling hills and peaceful surroundings at Medoc Mountain State Park. The town was also once the largest raw peanut market in the world. We still cultivate fields and fields of peanuts and you can actually sample some of these beauties at Aunt Ruby’s Peanuts in downtown Enfield – and buy a few cans to take home to your friends and family. Tired of driving? Go to a yoga class in downtown Enfield and stretch out at Yoga Magnolia. Looking for a great gift for your mother-in-law? Visit Southern Secrets for unique, one-of-a-kind gifts hand-crafted by local artisans/artists.

I was born and raised in Enfield, a charming, rural community in Eastern North Carolina. My husband and I still call Enfield home. And even though our son is serving in the US Navy, he calls Enfield home as well. We are excited for you to join us for as long you can.
