Step back in time to historic Sand Rock Farm! The historic five-bedroom Craftsman farmhouse sits on ten private acres that feature old growth redwood, oak and eucalyptus trees, gardens, fountains and the remnants of Santa Cruz County's first winery, which is now a beautiful event space. As you explore the property you may see deer, fox, turkeys, banana slugs, and other interesting wildlife. And, the resident pig and chickens would love a visit from you!

The space
The Sun Porch Suite is light, bright and welcoming with lots of windows that overlook gardens and trees. Guests have a private parking spot and entrance as well as a private porch. The main room has a king bed and cable tv. The full bathroom features a two-person Jacuzzi tub. The sunny side room has a futon, desk, and an electric fireplace and a doorway into the main part of the house and common areas. The kitchen is shared and stocked with breakfast supplies including Glaum eggs, local, organic fruit, veggies and bread, organic yogurts, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, cereal and more so you can enjoy breakfast on your own schedule.

Up to two well-behaved dogs are allowed with prior approval and $75 per pet fee per stay. Pets may not be left unattended in the room or on property at any time. All pet waste must be picked up by guests and put into trash cans. Pets are not allowed in the common indoor areas (kitchen, living room, dining room) and may not be left unattended at any time while.

A stay at Sand Rock Farm is like having your own private park all to yourself. This historic property was the site of Santa Cruz County's first winery and it is now a wedding venue and vacation rental. There are only five total rental suites. Owners and caretaker live onsite in separate units but will not be intrusive during your stay. The property is gated and sits on ten private acres without any visible neighbors or roads. All of the best things in Santa Cruz County are only minutes away including beaches, forests, mountain bike trails, golf courses, restaurants and much more!

Derek is a chef and also does all of the maintenance and projects at Sand Rock Farm. Jen is an event planner/baker and is the general manager.
