About This Listing
Stay within walking distance of central Sydney in this architecturally designed home.
Paddington is known for its terrace apartments with wrough iron lace balconies and leafy streets, the suburb is worth exploring for its Victorian era ambience and character.
You can find interesting antique shops here, as well as numerous small art galleries featuring the works of upcoming and established artists.
You can have fun exploring the many leafy, windy streets of Paddington. Lined with 2 and 3 storey terrace homes of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, there is actually a interesting variety in the kinds of terraces that were designed and built. On Saturdays Paddington hosts it's famous market on Oxford St.
You will be staying in the dining centre of Sydney. The suburbs of Paddington and Surry Hills contain many of Sydney's finest restaurants. The small bar scene of Surry Hills and Darlinghurst is extremely vibrant and worth a night or two exploring.
Oxford Street is one of the main arterial routes to the city and eastern suburbs and 5 minutes walk from my home. From here the bus network will take you anywhere in the city. Circular Quay and the Opera House are 40 minutes walk through Hyde Park and some of Sydney's grandest streets.
For sports-lovers the largest parkland in the city - Moore Park, Centennial Park, Sydney Cricket Ground and Football Stadium are all 10-15 minutes walk.

Interaction with Guests
We are normally out of town when we have guests. A good friend will be on hand to greet you and be available should you have any questions.
Our neighbourhood is known as the 'Arts Precinct' of Paddington as it includes the University of New South Wales College of Fine Arts and associated galleries.
We are on a network of beautiful pedestrian lanes which makes the area free from traffic noise and safe for children.
There are excellent bus services into the city and out to the beaches from Oxford St 5 minutes walk. There is no on-site parking and City of Sydney parking limits on the street are from 1 to 2 hours.
Other Things to Note
As we are on a pedestrian lane there is no on-site parking and the Council limits street parking in the vicinity to one hour.
No smoking indoors
No glassware around the pool. Having to remove glass from the pool will result in an extra $200 cleaning fee.
Treat my home as you would your own home.
Our neighbours are very close therefore loud parties will not be tolerated and will result in the bond being forfeited.
Either myself or a friend will be available should there are any questions after you arrive.
Check-in and check-out times can be varied by arrangement.
John's house is absolutely beautiful. He is the perfect host and made things so incredibly easy for us. Would recommend him to anyone.
John was a wonderful host--very responsive and definitely went out of his way to make sure our stay would be smooth. The house is beautifully appointed, clean, and fully equipped with everything you might need, including some fresh food in the fridge. The location is great and John left additional information about the area to help us get settled. The only thing to note is that there is no A/C, so if the weather is hot it can get uncomfortable unless you open the doors/windows which then lets in the mosquitos. We mentioned this to John and he quickly sent over some fans for our use which was much appreciated, but still warm compared to blasting A/C. Overall though it was a great stay in Sydney and a beautiful home!
John made us feel very welcome, fresh supplies in fridge and lots of inside local knowledge supplied. House is amazing in a beautiful little area.
John was a fabulous host who responded quickly to all our questions and even helped us find a doctor when we were in need. He has great and spacious house that is very well equipped. Would definitely rent again.
We spent 3 nights in John's house. The neighborhood is lovely, peaceful and with all amenities. John is super helpful. The house was exactly as per the ad. It is stylish and extremely pleasant. We highly recommend it.
