The space
The Mountain House is designed with energy-efficient technologies and curated with contemporary comforts and eco-conscious products. We have partnered with environmentally friendly and socially conscious companies to help us realize our unique mission of bringing green living to your daily life. Your hemlock hideaway is calling: let’s go green together.

Check out our website at weekendhome.co to learn more about our mission and the products featured in our home.

The Mountain House has two bedrooms with Queen size beds and a sofa that converts to a full bed, if needed. If you are looking for a little privacy during your stay, the downstairs bedroom will work wonders. The upstairs loft bedroom is recommended for those who want to sleep under the stars and wake up to the morning sun (the skylights are absolutely beautiful in this bedroom). Please note the upstairs bedroom is semi-private, so choose your fellow forest dwellers wisely.

Be sure to use four-wheel drive on your ascent up the mountain, as we are at a pretty steep incline. Also, you might encounter one or two potholes along the way! We promise to plow our private road when it snows, but as a general rule of thumb: slow and steady wins the race to The Mountain House.

1. Wildlife. From turkeys and deer to bears and bugs, you never know who might be foraging nearby. No need to fear. The mountain is their home too: they make mountain magic come to life.
2. Water. Sourced directly from a natural spring well on the property, our water is safe to drink. Reduce water usage to reduce your carbon footprint.
3. Waste. Recycling, compost, and regular trash. We can be intentional with our waste to benefit the planet.
4. WiFi. Cell service is spotty up on the mountain, but at least the house has WiFi. Connect - or disconnect - as you see fit, and make the most of mountain time.

Hospitality does not have to put people at risk. Weekend Home takes sanitizing practices seriously, and this is reflected in our cleaning fee. After every stay, we will do a deep clean and disinfect all surfaces of the home. We also make sure to leave a minimum of 24 hours in between each booking to ensure the space is aired out for you.
